August 16, 201411 yr He was comically bad against Colombia and Germany. Not that I was surprised. I'm sorry but I think that is ridiculous. Brazil were collectively poor and he was one of the better performers. In the Germany game he constantly had to sacrifice his position because the nutbags around him had no tactical discipline.

August 16, 201411 yr Excuses excuses. We all have our opinions. Certainly. But at least have some sensible backing if you choose to express it. If we all just shouted nonsensical bs then this will be another RAWK.

August 16, 201411 yr Comically bad? No he wasn't, what a load of hyperbolic bollocks. I'd imagine there's a cream for that
August 16, 201411 yr I'd imagine there's a cream for that Like you don't actually know there is....I've seen the pictures remember.
August 18, 201411 yr Well whatever spot he fills he is officially now number 8. Didier is number 11. Just checked the official site if they had given Courtois 13. That is these as well...
August 18, 201411 yr He really needs to step up, no more going missing in so many games. I wish he could take the chances he gets, alot falls to him.
August 18, 201411 yr Be interesting to see if he does Start just where José plays him. He really needs to settle into a position now. Edited August 18, 201411 yr by dkw
August 18, 201411 yr All those still harping on about Mata being more suited to our formation than Oscar take a look at Carragher and Neville ripping him to pieces defensively and blaming him for a goal against Swansea.
August 19, 201411 yr Forgot he was even playing at times yesterday and when he was on the ball he lost it. He really needs to step up.
August 19, 201411 yr Not a great performance but then Hazard didn't exactly shine either... after one game I won't be calling to drop either any time soon...!
August 19, 201411 yr I thought Hazard done well, his dribble for the second goal was unreal. Oscar though looks a shadow of the player he was for us at the start of last season. Strange his dip of form and the lenght of it.
August 19, 201411 yr Anyone think it's about time to introduce Lewis Baker into the first team ahead of Oscar?
August 19, 201411 yr I get the feeling Oscar was playing a different role last night. He was more like Ramires, the water carrier, with Fabregas being the main creative outlet.
August 19, 201411 yr Anyone think it's about time to introduce Lewis Baker into the first team ahead of Oscar? No! Although I do think Baker deserves some game time.
August 19, 201411 yr Ha, And on another forum people were happy with Oscar and his link up with Fabregas and hazard, providing good cover for when Fabregas got forward. They passed rings around burnley. Must have watched the wrong game

August 19, 201411 yr What exactly did Oscar do wrong? Thought he had a good game, linked up well with Cesc and Matic, helped control the midfield, showed good awareness to cover when Cesc went forward and pressed well
August 19, 201411 yr Thought it was interesting how deep he was coming to receive the ball last night, sometimes deeper than Matic and Fabregas. Played much more like a midfielder than a number 10. I don't think he did anything spectacular but at the same time I don't think he did anything wrong either. The team last night was pretty much the starting XI I would like to see most weeks although I'm hoping for Luis to come in at left back to give us more natural width down the left.
August 19, 201411 yr I know I'm very biased, but I think Oscar was conserving himself for the world cup, let him regain his confidence and let's see if he does an Aaron Ramsey. A loan spell at a big club might be an option too.
