February 22, 201610 yr tbf we were playing him out of position on the wing. Granted, he appears to have lost his place in the starting XI. For me Oscar has not been as poor as some say. Yesterday was not his day, and a shocker of a penalty (that makes two now), but he sticks a foot in and puts a shift in both ways. He's more clever with the ball than he gets credit for as well. His problem is and always has been consistence. He needs to have a good run of form to gain the respect of the fans. He will have a good game then be anonymous for a month. It's really annoying as I think on his day he is a class player. What about for the other 4 years we've had him?

They all have the talent to an extent to put in match winning performaces. What seperates the good players from the elite players is how often they do so. Oscar (although i still question his talent) only performs sporadically. Time to cash in.
February 24, 201610 yr After seeing Oscar, the myth of Brazilians are great penalty takers is busted.

February 24, 201610 yr About your last lines, that is common in lot of brazilians Debatable considering our most consistent player this season has been a Brazilian
February 24, 201610 yr After seeing Oscar, the myth of Brazilians are great penalty takers is busted. Huh, where did that myth come from? Only germans are great penalty takers, eod.
February 24, 201610 yr Debatable considering our most consistent player this season has been a BrazilianActually I wrote "lot" that doesn't include "all"

February 24, 201610 yr Do you think Oscar's young looks make people go easier on him? He physically looks like a development stage player. With developing players, I tend to be more sympathetic and positive because they're still learning and are bound to make mistakes and be inconsistent. It's difficult to remember that Oscar was born in the same year as Eden. He's older than Thibaut, Kurt, and Baba but looks the same age or younger. Thibaut in particular looks really old for his age. I've noticed some facial wrinkles popping up on Oscar from certain angles, but when you look at him overall, especially his body, he looks like an academy player. I feel people are harsher on Eden, Thibaut, Kurt, and Baba because they look like they're more experienced and should know better. Edited February 24, 201610 yr by offside
February 24, 201610 yr Actually I wrote "lot" that doesn't include "all" Actually I wrote that your statement is "Debatable" regardless if you meant "all" or "lot". Edited February 24, 201610 yr by Imran_CFC

I feel people are harsher on Eden, Thibaut, Kurt, and Baba because they look like they're more experienced and should know better. In my opinion Oscar doesn't look young anymore. I also noticed all those wrinkles, especially on his forehead and there is quite many of them for someone who's 24 year old. At 24 I don't have even one wrinkle but footballers don't age well. When it comes to his body I think Willian body looks younger. I've seen pics of him in Tanktopsand his body looks like someone who's 15 years old. I agree with you Tebo look old for his age but I think that's just genetics. Who know now he may look older than Oscar now but when they will be 45 it may be completely different story. And when it comes to people being harsher on Hazard, Tebo or Zuma than Oscar, I think it's because they expect them to perform at their best every game because of their track record. With Oscar everyone knows he's not consistent, he may have good match here and there but it's not on regular basis. So it's not shock when he plays like sh*t. Also I think some people just gave up on him.
February 25, 201610 yr http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2016/2/25/11110608/antonio-conte-chelsea-latest A new director AND 130m pounds?!
February 25, 201610 yr Actually I wrote that your statement is "Debatable" regardless if you meant "all" or "lot".My statement was due to the knowledge and past history of other brazilian players. Didn't want to start a flame, have a nice day

March 6, 201610 yr I struggle to see any improvement in Oscar since we bought him. He is still very weak and loose the ball with the slightest challange. His dribbling skills are very limited compared to Willian, Pedro and Hazard. He also have more sloppy passes compared to the other attacking midfielders. He does have good movement and vision, but I don't feel that is enough to justify his lack of other attributes. I wouldn't mind if he was sold in the summer, while he still has a good value. Not just for his lack of improvement, but also so we can move away from 4-2-3-1 and go back to a 4-3-3 with more versatile box to box midfielders. Willian, Hazard and Pedro has better qualities when it comes to playing wide forwards in 4-3-3, then Oscar.
March 6, 201610 yr I felt yesterday wasn't his best game, but tbf not really his worst. We are a better, more technical side with him in the lineup but when he is off he is a complete liability. I think he will be sold in the summer, and will probably play well elsewhere. He does what is asked of him (we ask too much imo) and has been pretty quiet with all the jose stuff. I also believe he said he plans on being here next year with or without CL football, which shows some loyalty to the club.
March 6, 201610 yr i really dont get what hes so good at to be still loved ?!?! he cant shoot ,he always tries fancy backheels who works every 5-6 tries , hes small and weak on the ball and hes almost never on the score sheet (except when we play mk dons). yes he can track back and has a good work rate but we need more then that !! i wouldnt mind him staying but just not in the starting XI for me Edited March 6, 201610 yr by DidierDrogbalala

March 7, 201610 yr This guy is the most overrated player in the PL. We literally carry him everytime he plays......he hides on the pitch, has no influence and lacks any mobility, physicality or dynamism to warrant a start in our team. Why do we persist with such an average performer. With him Mikel and mtic inthe centre on Saturday we lacked intensity, legs and creativity. I sigh everytime I see him in our Starting XI. As for him wanting to stay, of course he does!! There is no way any other club will pay the wages he is on at Chelsea (bar maybe china). Juve certainly wouldnt, Sorry to rant, and he seems like a nice lad, but he really needs to be moved on.
March 7, 201610 yr Some players burst onto the scene with great potential and just never really improve. Unfortuntely he is one. I can't see anything he does now that is any better than when he joined us.
March 7, 201610 yr He's still coasting off those two goals against Juventus in my opinion, they've bought him 4 years with us at this stage. I like his energy but too often he disappears from games and isn't one of those players that can produce something from nothing. If we could get a good 35-40 million for him I'd happily see him leave
