There are only 12 more league games left this season.

Over two thirds of the campaign is over.

Does that amaze anybody?

It just feels like this campaign has been a total non-event.

Can't believe there are so few games left.

Where did the season go?

Posted

It's been the shortest yet the longest season ever.

Probably because it feels like a whole season ago that Robbie was here and we were coasting through the league.

Real Shame as after the way we ended last season, this should have been an enjoyable season and at times it has been - mainly down to Mata, Oscar & Luiz.

Unfortunately most of us now just want to erase 2012-2013 from the memory bank. Roll on 2013-2014..................!

Down the tubes of course, Davey! Because Roman loves to see us win, but cant stand to see us too successful.

In all seriousness, thank god its almost over. But I can see one more nasty surprise waiting for us, like dropping to sixth or something. Not saying that purely to be negative, but the direction we've gone the last couple of months is obvious to anyone.

Totally agree Nibs. I just wanted to revel in it this season. Didnt care about too much else really. Top 4 and jobs a good un. It was a to be a season of celebration.

The bar stewards at the club took that that away from us and i will never forgive them for it.

The atmosphere at the start of the season at the Bridge was joyous, those early games, Reading and Newcaslte were wonderful. Now compare it!  A club bathed in disharmony. It was grim against Wigan on Saturday. The heiracy must realise what theyve done.

I guess we are on for 4th, though im still not convinced as we have a few tough away games to go.

Doesnt mean as much now anyway. The magics gone.

I've been waiting for Rafa to leave. Time's never flown but it has passed quickly. Because of Rafa I've watched less games and when I have watched I haven't been on a positive mood...

Only 12 to go.

For me it's felt like 2 short seasons. When Robbie got sacked and Benitez got hired I lost all interest for a little while. In one season we were flying high 3 points behind United and in 4 competitions. In the other we are now miles behind 1st and fighting for 4th. We find ourselves out of nearly every trophy and that plonk is still in charge.

I think it's safe to say that this season has been one blundering disaster after another. The sooner it's over, the better.

However, next season, unless Jose or Guus come back I'm not filled with confidence either. This could be just the start.

12 games, plus EL, plus FA Cup. Let's say 20 games for argument sake.

Can Frank score 5 goals in 20 games? For me that will be the only positive about this season. Arsenal and Spurs hot on our heels. Got Liverpool away, Man City away, Tottenham at home, Man United away. Some tough games for sure and I think it will be a fight till the end to secure fourth spot.

It's really been a sh*t season so far, hasn't it? When you consider what it promised compared with where we currently are, it just can't end quickly enough for me. Under AVB I felt more disenchanted than I ever had, but this season takes that level of disillusionment a new level. I don't even care about winning the FA Cup or the Europa League. All I'm concerned with is seeing us get top 4, have Frank break the goals record AND get a new contract, and seeing Benitez go.

All in all, I just feel somewhat horrified with the direction that club has regressed in this season that I just want a fresh start next year, hopefully with a concrete plan in place for the long term development of the club. I'm fed up of watching the whimsical, short-sighted policies of our board intensify the internal turmoil that has rumbled on and on for the last few seasons.

I see your 6th place, and raise you a much nastier surprise, like us finishing 4th, while Arsenal finish 5th but win the CL. I know I know, an unlikely thing to happen, but it's the 2012-2013 season, the Nasty Season...

Feels like my supporter's head is on pause until FSW falls on his sword and does the only decent thing and returns to the dark dismal hole he crawled out of.

The days of Robbie in charge and enjoying watching our team play seem so far away now but it was this season. The darkness that has clouded our season in the form of Rafa has spoiled what could have been a really enjoyable year for us. Now we cant wait for it to be over. #RafaOut

I remember posting on here, when it looked like we were going out of the CL to Napoli, last year and AVB had just been sacked, saying we could still win the CL and have a great season, I really had hope that things would work out.

This Season I feel the complete opposite, I just hope we can limp home to a top four finish, get Jose back (or someone, anyone, who realises that you don't have to wait until the 83rd minute to make a substitution) and re-emerge TRIUMPHANT next Season...Consinging this horror to the deepest depths of my mind, never to be thought of again...

Rafa's lap of the pitch on the final home game of the season will be interesting to say the least.

Suffice to say it will be the complete opposite of Ranieri's last hoorah...!

I think all the fans will have left when he finishes it after two hours.

I loved the Tinkerman.

I think if Jose hadn't come in he might have won the league the following season after he left, although maybe not as convincingly as Jose did.

I fully expect him to do it in a mobility scooter possibly with "YNWA" printed on the side of it... Cause it's a d*ck like that.

He should just walk down the tunnel after full time and let the players go on without him. If he doesnt do that then i hope those who are there boo the f**k out of him and sing Jose's name the whole time. We dont want you to stay, we dont want you to stay, f**k off Bentiez we dont want you to stay. Jose Jose Jose!

I remember Glenn Hoddle's last game at Chelsea and the fans all "You can stick George Graham up you a*se".

Maybe a reworking of that is in order?

Yes, remember that too but we can start singing it now. Of course George Graham finshed his career at Tottenham in the end lol.
