Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

What Bruce Buck said give me some comfort, I don't remember he said anything as such for Courtois, Matic, Mata etc, which meant the club is serious about this. Real is a in a bit of a turmoil, if Conte signs up we could safely say Hazard won't be going there.

Well he's alright I suppose

I just read this in a Donald Trump voice.  Dude is obsessed about people liking him

Seems to be more positive noise about him staying at the club the few days which is good. He can win it all here if the powers at be sort themselves out and make a few clever signings.

Agree, there are more positive statements, maybe coincided with the uncertainty at Real Madrid. Nothing like striking while the iron is hot. Get the pen out Chelsea and give it to Hazard to sign the shiny new contract. PLEASE !

Just read that Real Madrid are considering Conte as their next manager. That could have a bearing on Hazard’s future. I’m not sure he’d want to work with Conte again.

Willian clearly doesn’t.

I'll still be very surprised if Madrid sign him, I think that's stupid on their part, unless they sell a lot of good players that they already have (lots of them have high potential) then I don't think we'll see Hazard going there any time soon. Well it's now or never really, he either signs the contract this season or he's off, either way, I doubt we'll keep him on a 12-month contract if he refuses to sign.

To be honest it's always shocked me how Barcelona haven't brought up any interest for him, he's much more suited to them than he is Real, and it's rumoured that Dembele is on his way out after not living up to expectations (although Barcelona tend to show more patience than Real ever have), but it could still be a possibility that they look towards Hazard for that role on the left. Personally, I'm quite confident he'll stay, if he doesn't I'll still have the utmost respect for him as a person and professional and I hope things do not become malicious between us.

I must say though, we are ridiculously reliant on Hazard, I'll dread to think of how we'll replace him.

With the polarisation of Spanish football just can't see Hazard at Barcelona though agree his style would suit them more.

Agree we need another top threat, when we had Costa we could still win not so sure now.

Fingers crossed Conte joins Madrid!!

Who's to say Hazard has fallen out with Conte though? He just recently praised Mourinho and said he has deep regrets about underperforming for him. His relations with Mourinho were never sour as so many said they were, they were both friends and sent each other nice messages after Mourinho left.

I don't think Hazard thinks bad of Conte quite honestly, so I don't think it will make a real difference, no pun intended.

Good point re Hazard on JM and wasn't it Conte that got Hazard to put on more weight and muscle to withstand the physical side of the game.

I could see a scenario where Conte asks him to join and promising him he wont need to defend.

Nothing to do with falling out with Conte its to do with style of play. He wants to play more with the ball, play more attacking football hence his criticism after the fa cup final. Sarri summed it up best

"It is easy to stimulate Hazard - as long as you let him have fun, he's very easy, it didn't need strategies from me. He doesn't get influenced by the media and what happens around him. As long as he's having fun and he plays. And he loves playing football."

Eden Hazard had a relatively quiet day by his own very high, Premier League Player of the Month standards against Manchester United, and veteran makeshift full back Ashley Young is getting a lot of credit for “pocketing” him. But one of the biggest reasons Hazard had a bad day was this joke of a tackle by Young at the start of the second half, which not only wasn’t called — would’ve been a penalty — but has now left Hazard with a back injury.

As reported by the Telegraph, while Hazard was able to tough it out for the rest of the match (and even managed to set up a couple chances, such as the 1-2 with David Luiz), the next morning, he could hardly get out of bed and was “restricted” in his movements. While Chelsea appear hopeful that the injury won’t be too serious, Hazard will definitely be kept out of Thursday’s Europa League match against BATE. He was always likely to miss that one anyway, but now it’s imperative that he does and that he recovers well in the meantime.

The refs and FA just making sure we dont bother their darlings too much........you put Eden in any other team in epl and you would instantly see how they protect him. Im disgusted how our Club doesnt say anything about this.....f**king crystal Palace just weeks ago made noises about Zaha getting a rough treatment, f**king Zaha and we say nothing. Must he break his legs on live tele before anything is said and done? My hatred for epl is growing fast.....too much sh*t going on, too much influence by the outside, its just not the same epl anymore.

Another reason why Mike Dean is a Man United legend, f* up in all the big decisions. The only reason people aren't talking about it is Jose ran through the tunnel and raised 3 fingers to our fans. The player we miss is a mean player like Costa or Ivan who's going to give a kick or 2 back to c* likes Young.

Like someone has said, it’s more to do with footballing style than Conte himself.

And Mourinho has a better way of playing football? Hazard said two weeks ago that he would love to work with Jose again one day.

And Mourinho is far more negative than Conte.

Mourinho wasn't that defensive though until the Spurs defeat. We were playing some really good football up until then.

But you could also argue the same for Conte in his first season, we played some great football in his first season.
