August 9, 20169 yr Our best player. As simple as that. A player who was clearly struggling with his fitness and a niggling injury, who as good as snapped under the sheer weight of attacking responsibility placed on his shoulders by one particular careless individual. However, if it was up to some on here, in particular a band of Mourinhoistas who I like to call "The f**kwit Five", Hazard would have been flogged to the first bidder and in his place we'd have a team of Willian's creating next to nothing in the final third but being praised for "running around" and "showing desire". As I said. f**kwits. Name and shame your f**kwit 5, double dare you!!!!!
August 9, 20169 yr f**kwit five? is it just another name for JFD aka jose fanatic dimwits?? Just because someone has a differing view about our most successful manager, no need for profanities, democracy rules before anarchy....
August 11, 20169 yr Just because someone has a differing view about our most successful manager, no need for profanities, democracy rules before anarchy.... Maybe if they understand the concept of so called 'democracy' then the term JFD wouldn't have been brandished out in the 1st place.. It all started from when they wouldn't tolerate someone talking negative, albeit true, about their idol and lashing out any sort of namecalling to those who doesn't agree with their idolizing act.. The JFD is just a counter act in this case, what goes around comes around.. it's hard to deal with fanatics.. I rest my case..
August 15, 20169 yr Hazard excited by Conte philosophy Antonio Conte has brought new a new style of play to Stamford Bridge and Eden Hazard is looking forward to getting the season under way. Eden Hazard is excited by Chelsea's change in approach under new head coach Antonio Conte. Belgian winger Hazard was voted PFA Player of the Year as Chelsea won the Premier League title in 2014-15, but his form dramatically dipped in their woeful championship defence last term as he failed to net a top-flight goal until April. Former Italy boss Conte has since been appointed as the permanent successor to Jose Mourinho, removed last December and replaced on an interim basis by Guus Hiddink. Hazard is enjoying getting to grips with the philosophy of the new boss and is relishing a fresh start this season. "It's a new season, a fresh start, a new manager and a couple of new players," he told Chelsea's official website. "We have all been working together for a few weeks now and the new manager has a new philosophy and he wants to play a different style. "That's always good, and now we will see how it goes." Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign with the visit of West Ham on Monday, and the Belgian hopes a positive result can provide the foundation for an improved season. "I like to play against West Ham because it's important for the fans as well, it's always like this when we play against another London team," said Hazard. "We will see how the first game of the season goes, but I hope we can be much better than last season." Ahead of Monday's kick-off, Chelsea announced Izzy Brown has joined Championship side Rotherham United on a season-long loan. August 15, 20169 yr I love everything I am hearing from Conte. What we need is for the players to buy into it 100%. If they can completely buy into the philosophy of Conte, and take to heart what he is trying to get them to become, then we will have a strong chance at Top 4. Couple of key additions that also buy in...maybe a challenge for the title. I loved the interviews with Pirlo who mentioned that "Conte's words assault you." I don't think Conte will stand for any prima donna BS
August 15, 20169 yr Great performance from him, I hope this goal raised his morale, gave him more confidence. We need our Hazard back!
August 15, 20169 yr There was one moment just after his penalty, he ran the ball out of our penalty box for about 15 meters by passing a couple of tacklers. That's the sign of confidence. Under Jose, he would be crucified for that. Conte seemed to let players trust their instincts and do their things, it's been a while since our attacking players looked so keen to take on the defenders.
August 15, 20169 yr Hazard appears to have much more freedom this go around. I'm really looking forward to what he can do
August 16, 20169 yr Yep hes definitely on his way back i see teams doubling up on him again he looks up for it
August 16, 20169 yr Much like under Rafa when he had freedom he should do class. One of the few things i liked about Rafa was the freedom he gave players like Hazard to play.
August 16, 20169 yr Out of our attacking midfield trident Mata was the one with by far the 'freest' role. I would say Hazard was probably at his most tactically unshackled under Robbie.
August 16, 20169 yr Why do people keep mentioning his confidence like he's some sort of fragile character. He's been excellent since his return from injury against Bournemouth last season that includes games against Leicester, Liverpool, Tottenham, most of the Euros & pre-season. He was poor last season because he was injured & fatigued. Terry alluded to it in the post match conference. He's going to be the best player in the League again this season.
August 16, 20169 yr I like that he told Oscar the he was going to take the penalty, and how he also stated he has had to change his style because the keepers were catching on to his previous style
August 19, 20169 yr Just when you think Stan couldn't be more of a c*nt, now Hazard is a ‘cheat’... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/stan-collymore-column-chelseas-eden-8659498

Hazard was shocking last year. His attitude stunk and his performances were dreadful to say the least. A man of his talent should never perform that poorly for an entire season. He downed tools when we needed him most
August 19, 20169 yr It's amusing how apparently no one gives a sh*t about Drogba and co "downing tools" for AVB or Scolari!

A man of his talent should never perform that poorly for an entire season. He downed tools when we needed him most What a load of crap. The entire team was poor last season, are we too assume that every single one of them downed tools ? Not to mention Hazard played with an injury for the majority of the second part of the season.
August 19, 20169 yr Hazard is not above reproach. He played poorly, yet so did pretty much everyone. He is receiving most of the criticism because he is far and away the most talented player on the team and can change matches on his own. Does he deserve the full brunt? No, that's harsh. But he, along with the rest of the team, certainly deserve some criticism.
August 19, 20169 yr Not saying that Hazard is above criticism, but none of us know what injury he was dealing with, we all know the way that he plays draws fouls that have an impact on his body. Some fans were accusing him of downing tools, without the knowledge that he was injured, because it's true, we rely on him more than any other player, but for a former pro to come out and brandish him a cheat, is disgraceful, I'm not sure how you can agree with him, he has as much knowledge on Hazard's state last season as everyone else.
