I can't get round the paywall so as to read the column - could someone who does subscribe post his full column herein? Thanks in advance. Took a quick look, and basically RA is looking to sell his 5% stake in a mining company to another interest. This upsets another interest considering legal action to stop the sale. Its noteworthy as the other interest is Oleg Deripaska who was once linked to Mandelson and George Osborne. It appears the RA stake another was originally brokered by Putin to stop two major oligarchs falling out, though that agreement has now expired.
March 19, 20188 yr The title of this topic's a bit nauseating IMO Cheers Roman would have been sufficient, but Thank You Mr Roman Abramovitch goes the full creepy, fawning, we are not worthy mile.
March 19, 20188 yr Wow, that's a bit sour, but to each his own. This thread was created in June 2013, I suppose you weren't around then to offer your opinion on its name?

Bloke saved us from the brink of administration, has pumped in over a billion quid of his own money into the club helping us win the league for the first time in over 50 years and to then win it a further 4 more times, in addition to lots of other trophies making us the most successful side in England since his arrival and is also on the verge of building us a brand new 60k stadium. I think saying thank you is the least we can do.

March 22, 20188 yr So... Boris Johnson comparing Putin's World Cup to Hitler's olympics, go. Only kidding. Please spend this summer, Roman. Thank you

I have been wondering about this aswell, i don't follow politics too closely, so I was wondering what impact it would have, if any, on the new stadium, the summer transfer market, and the club in general. If Roman had his UK assets frozen, how would that effect us? I'm sure there's some intelligent posters on here that have a few answers.
April 16, 20188 yr Didn’t RA lose just over 500m because of US sanctions also, heard people say it’s not that much to him but when he’s funding the new stadium out of his own pocket 500m is about half what that will be. If he loses more I’d guess that would make the stadium build even more costly for him. I don’t know this stuff very well mind so I could be wrong.
April 17, 20188 yr 15 minutes before West Ham’s relegation 6 pointer with Stoke, co-chairwoman Karren Brady tweeted to remind everyone to tune in for her new ITV show at 8pm. Could have worse people in charge I guess.
