Last year we were actually a side in transition though (something Arsenal have claimed to be for years) and we were actually lacking those few players that we now have. I'm pretty sure there'll be trophies this year if injuries don't scupper us in the long run. Of course I'm not saying we're gonna win the league just yet after so few games but I'd certainly rather be in our position than anyone else's.

That's why the pressure on Jose will be so much more this season because of the points above and of course his remarks about this season being the one he expects us to challenge for the title.

Even if we don't win anything I'd like to think he'd get more time as the foundations are there in this side....Not sure what Roman would do though.

Does anyone rememeber how long the contract was the Jose signed when he rejoined us?

roman is the master political mover and shaker, he was one of the main reasons for putin coming to power and funding his unity party, thats why roman has been done so many favours and not been come after by putin.
