March 6, 201412 yr Would be funny to find yourself sitting next to Roman Abramovich in the Matthew Harding. Or stood next to him him in the terraces at Brentford away. edit: I didn't realise this had already happened http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/columnists/henrywinter/2322474/Its-good-to-talk-Roman-Abramovich.html Edited March 6, 201412 yr by londonblue
March 6, 201412 yr Just on the basis that they show the owners mugs at least once if they're in attendance during home matches. I dont see Roman all that much but usually see city's owners at least once a month Roman is much more private than City owners though. Just because he isn't in his seat in the front row of the box doesn't mean he isn't there

October 6, 201411 yr The man loves football. Puts his money where is mouth is. Would've thought he's at the stage where leaving a legacy becomes more important to him.
October 6, 201411 yr Sorry I can't find the link, but yesteday I was reading a comparison between Roman Ambramovich and the billionaire Arsenal owners, that went something like this: One truly loves the game, and the club he now owns. He flies to reserver games by helicopter. The others sit back and count their money, occasionally bragging to their billionaire associates about the club they own whenever they happen to pull of a half-decent result.

October 11, 201411 yr He get's so much stick from fans of other clubs but this man shows more passion for Chelsea than any other owner shows for their club.

October 11, 201411 yr I still think it was intended as a cross.May or may not have been, what it certainly was, is a life changing strike for many thousands of people. Like Teritus said God bless you Gronks

October 11, 201411 yr Would selling Mata have happened 8 years ago? I think that sale alone showed Joes is the boss around here and is making the decisions. He was a fan favourite our best player at the time and so many people where gutted when he departed. But it's good to see the faith put into Mourinho now, I hope this continues, we must have stability now, even if we are trophy less this season we have to be patient, FFP has not been put in place and I believe it's going to get more effective each year so sacrifices will have to be made for the long term. I think Roman will make the right decisions.
October 11, 201411 yr Said many times BJD used to say it (where is he ?) We are the luckiest fans/team in the world..... A lot of us could have never dreamed or imagined this level of success and team for most of our lives. But also what should be pointed out is our captain is pre-Roman and Jose and how many clubs can say that, Citeh I think not ! Thanks to Gronks :)
October 11, 201411 yr No doubt I just love that the goal summed up Jesper as a nicely.it really did. On another day it would have hit some bloke on kings road.

He was a fan favourite our best player at the time and so many people where gutted when he departed. This is what makes jose who he is, prepared to take the big decisions for the good of the team. It could so easily have gone wrong. Go back 40 yrs or so and Sexton took the decision to sell Ossie and Hudson and is still seen by many as the biggest twat that walked the earth.
October 15, 201411 yr it feels like he has been to most of our games this year. Most importantly he looks like he is absolutely loving it ! Doesn't get the credit he deserves sometimes, one of the few owners to put his money where his mouth is and show a real passion for the football club. Maybe a bit trigger happy but you only have to read these forums on a matchday and realise things could be a whole lot worse !
