June 6, 201412 yr Fabregas is everything we all despise about Barca and I would hate the day he joins my team. For me, his signing would come pretty close to us being managed by the FSW for 6 very long months. I resent who he is and what he stands for. What does Fabregas stand for exactly?
June 6, 201412 yr I have spent the last few days growing with concern that this is actually happening. Dear God, please no! I can't stand the cheating, whingy c*** and want him as far away from my Chelsea as possible. I don't care how good he is, he will stain the shirt and make me cring whenever I see him in blue. I'd rather we play Ramires or Mikel every game - there simply have to be other good options out there! You don't want us to sign Fabregas, i don't want us to sign Costa, i guess we can't have it all out own way. At the end of the day, it's Chelsea we love and as long as both of these 2 don't drag us down then i can deal with it.
June 6, 201412 yr Apart from his spats with Frank, he's done little wrong in my books. I'm sure he dislikes Mourinho and to be honest, I never even contemplated he could come to Chelsea. You forget his blatant dive to win a pen against drogba in the nou camp in 2012...but for Messi hitting the bar, that bit of cheating would have knocked us out
June 6, 201412 yr You forget his blatant dive to win a pen against drogba in the nou camp in 2012...but for Messi hitting the bar, that bit of cheating would have knocked us out Thankfully it didn't though and let us not forget Drogba has done questionable things in the past. I'm not the biggest Fabregas fan, I think he's been abit if a twat at times but he isn't a blatant cheat and that was one incident.
June 6, 201412 yr I don't like him, I don't particularly want him but if we do sign him then I will back him and hope he does brilliantly for us.
June 6, 201412 yr You forget his blatant dive to win a pen against drogba in the nou camp in 2012...but for Messi hitting the bar, that bit of cheating would have knocked us out Do not think he has any cannibalistic instincts though.
June 6, 201412 yr Is this DiMarzio guy reliable? He seems completely convinced that this deal is almost done. Edited June 6, 201412 yr by gussy122
June 6, 201412 yr Is this DiMarzio guy reliable? He seems completely convinced that this deal is almost done. From what I know he seems pretty reliable

June 6, 201412 yr Nicked from The Times, again: Chelsea have begun the process of attempting to sign Cesc Fabregas by making a £26.8 million bid to Barcelona. The Catalan club have told Fabregas to find new employers this summer and are seeking to recoup £30 million for a player who cost them £35 million when he signed from Arsenal three years ago. Chelsea are confident of securing Fabregas for a lower fee however, as they are aware that Barcelona need the money to fund the purchase of Koke, who had been their primary target. The Atletico Madrid midfielder has made it clear he wants to stay in Spain however, which has led Chelsea towards Fabregas. They have also considered making bids for Paul Pogba, of Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Paulinho, but have concluded that Fabregas will be a more straightforward deal to complete. Chelsea have yet to discuss personal terms with Fabregas, but will have no problem improving his existing £100,000-a-week wages and his agent Darren Dein is due to fly to Brazil next week for talks about his client’s future. Spain begin their World Cup defence with a repeat of the 2010 final against Holland next Friday, and a deal to take Fabregas to Chelsea could be in place before the start of the tournament. Chelsea are anxious to complete the £32 million signing of Diego Costa from Atletico before the start of the tournament and getting that deal done as soon as possible is their priority. Atletico have asked about signing Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for Costa, but Chelsea are insisting that any transfer involving the Belgian striker must be a separate deal. In addition to Koke, Chelsea are still in talks about signing Felipe Luis and Tiago from Atletico, while Thibaut Courtois will definitely return to Stamford Bridge after three years on loan in the Spanish capital.
June 6, 201412 yr Nicked from The Times, again: Can we use Lukaku (if he indeed wants to leave) as a bargaining chip for Koke or Pogba?
June 7, 201412 yr Ridiculous basing the opinion signing on personality as opposed to skill. I'm sorry, but absolutely everybody on this planet has been a twat on multiple occasions in their life. Its part of the human condition. Everyone has that twat switch that goes off on occasion, I know I do and I openly admit it. Cesc would bolster a position which was lacking last season as Costa will bolster another area we definitely fell short on last season. Trust Mourinho. What's the point of having him if everybody is going to second guess him every time he makes a decision. I trust Mourinho completely to boost the team in the correct areas. With the signing of Luis aswell, this further strengthens our defence. All we need now once this batch of Atletico signings and Cesc goes through, is a couple more strikers to give us a terrible trio to strike fear into the hearts of defences next season. I know for a fact people will disagree with me here, but I firmly believe Mario Mandzukic would be good for us. No idea on a third choice.... but that's what Mourinho is for...
June 7, 201412 yr For me I think Fabregas would be a good signing for us, last season we were really lacking in 3 posistions, striker, central attack and deep lying playmaker, lets face it our strikers were poor, Oscar dropped off form for the last couple of months and Ramires is a great runner but is no playmaker and can't tackle,Fabregas could play behind the striker or from next to Matic and would instantly setup plays. Hello by the way
June 7, 201412 yr Nicked from The Times, again: The bit about Koke, Koke specifically said he wants to stay at Atletico. On the point of Fabregas, I want him nowhere near our club, but if he does come, I will support him
June 7, 201412 yr http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2014/6/6/5785442/cesc-fabregas-tactical-analysis Hot off the press at WAGNH. Just me that thinks most of the contributors on there are clueless?
June 7, 201412 yr I want to see us give a go at Pogba, instead of trying to sign Fabregas. That would be my preferred choice but as many have said on here, don't like Fabregas but if he joins I'll support him.
June 7, 201412 yr Wish I could just ignore transfers until they became official. Such a bloody waste of time. This Costa deal is just dragging on and on .......Fabregas one probably going to go all summer long as well....
June 7, 201412 yr I hope we can pull off this deal. He would improve us instantly. I have no problem with us signing Fabregas. I know he use to play for Arsenal and has had a couple of spats with Lampard and Mourinho, but he is a very good footballer, has passion for whoever he plays for and knows the premier league very well. Also we ain't a club full of saints, and Terry,Drogba ,Cole and even Mourinho have done things I'm sure most of us have been uncomfortable with. It's not like we are trying to sign Joey Barton where his crimes far outweigh his footballing talents. I'd be happy if we signed him.
June 7, 201412 yr I want to see us give a go at Pogba, instead of trying to sign Fabregas. Pogba would cost upwards of £60m Fabregas is half the cost with premier league experience and qualifies as home grown, he'd be a steal at £30m. I don't understand the obsession with Pogba personally.
