I feel bad for him. He was amongst our best players in pre season. Never believed he would get a chance with us though. All the best to him!

 

 

When will you learn, the best player in pre-season is doomed. It's actually better to be rank awfull. Previouse stars of the pre-season include such names as Yossi Ben Hayun, Josh Mccechran, Marin, Franco Di Santo..

Never a world beater but a decent squad player , thought he did just fine in 2012-13.

I don't think thats true. They would be plenty of clubs in interested in Moses, 24 good player PL proven and homegrown.

I think that's just rumours, or they put in like a 1-2m bid. José clearly does not want Moses so I'm sure any decent bid would have been accepted.

Moses seems like a lad who trains like sh*t and behaves badly off games because he looks always dangerous playing for us but never manages to nail down a place. He was okay last time he played and good for Stoke last term.

I like him as a player I just don't understand why we didn't keep him if we're gonna extend his contract.

His attitude seems fine to me, I'm sure he's always said the right things. But yeah we're just sh*tting on his career at the minute.

Why has he signed a new deal and then gone out on loan? Makes no sense

We give players like him and other youngsters with no chance of making it here, new contracts so when we sell them we can get more money, no other reason. Which means loaning him makes even less sense.

Personally I don't think Moses was leaving until Pedro got signed and I think we would have made a good bench player.

But now Pedro has arrived there isn't really space for Moses in the squad.

Therefore loaning him has it's benefits;
He is prem proven so we know he would be able to do a job for us if needed so if someone does go we can either bring him back in as the replacement or it makes us less desperate in the market so will reduce the price that we would be held to ransom for any different potential replacements we want to bring in. Massive plus.
He has had interest this year so it won't be hard to sell him on and if he has a good season where he plays regularly his price will certainly increase and increasing his contract length only magnifies this increase, but with limited downside as he will be able to be sold if we want him gone as he has that something about him which will always make him useful in the prem.
We get Moses off the books for the season and are likely to get a fee which is always good for the accounts.

Don't see any downside to this loan
