September 20, 201510 yr This is an interesting theory given that Willian is part of the first 15 for Brazil and Moses can't even make the England squad. He's Nigerian.
September 20, 201510 yr I think its inevitable for Moses to eventually be sold to either Sunderland or West Ham, there is no breaking through the XI that we currently have. Might as well make some money back in return than have his contract run out and him leave on a free. He did have a good preseason but that does not translate to a good season.
September 20, 201510 yr He's Nigerian. I think this could be the reason why he doesn't make the England squad although i could be wrong.
September 20, 201510 yr He's Nigerian He's English, but chose to play for Nigeria because England are sh*t.
September 20, 201510 yr He's English, but chose to play for Nigeria because England are sh*t. He's Nigerian but following both his parents being murdered at the age of 11 he fled to England.
September 20, 201510 yr He's English, but chose to play for Nigeria because England are sh*t. He chose to play for Nigeria not England because he knew he wasnt good enough to get in the England squad. Which shows his level.
September 20, 201510 yr He's Nigerian but following both his parents being murdered at the age of 11 he fled to England. I didn't even know that, how tragic.
September 20, 201510 yr He's Nigerian but following both his parents being murdered at the age of 11 he fled to England. Jeez, really? I didn't know that, how awful.
September 20, 201510 yr It's surprising just how many footballers have a fairly horrific back story and, unlike Xfactor, don't waft it about. Balotelli is one, which I think is why he is the way he is, and Berahino another.
September 20, 201510 yr This is an interesting theory given that Willian is part of the first 15 for Brazil and Moses can't even make the England squad. In fairness, Messi doesn't get near the England squad either. It's a tough squad to get into. Some sort of "Passport law" rules a lot of talent out, much to England's detriment in my opinion

September 20, 201510 yr This is an interesting theory given that Willian is part of the first 15 for Brazil and Moses can't even make the England squad. Willian would arguably be the star player in practically every team in the premiership outside the top 5 or 6. As of yet Moses hasn't shown that he is good enough to be a first eleven player for Chelsea. Could he be a squad player - yes probably. However I like the fact that we are giving chances to two kids that have the potential to be better than Moses. Besides the fact that you don't even know who Moses is and what national team he plays for, since when does national team status bear any weight when it comes to getting playing time at Chelsea? The fact is that Willian is sh*t in front of goal. He can't score and he can't create. He works hard yes, but the constant shots into the stands don't live up to his extremely high transfer fee.
September 20, 201510 yr Is a 'great minds think alike' post inappropriate, or...? Stating the obvious really :-)
September 21, 201510 yr That's probably our plan for loaning him out over and over again. If we sell him, won't expect a huge fee return. We loan him, he get to play against everyone else but us, score some goals and take points of our main competitors. It looks really cool when it works.
September 21, 201510 yr I actually think they loan him out because they still feel he has a future at the club. Being homegrown makes a big difference too.
September 21, 201510 yr He chose to play for Nigeria not England because he knew he wasnt good enough to get in the England squad. Which shows his level. He was pretty much on the up when he chose Nigeria. Moses got a bit impatient but given the season he had just had Moses would have at least been called up for a friendly. It wasn't one of those 'not good enough' switches.
September 21, 201510 yr I actually think they loan him out because they still feel he has a future at the club. Being homegrown makes a big difference too. I agree, I feel they feel that too. Realistically though he's surely at the age he should be beginning to show peak performances in his career you would think. If so then if he's not good enough now will he be in a season or two's time? If you take the fact he is homegrown out of it I think the answer is quite obvious. I think he's a 4th-10th place player personally, good but not quite great.

I don't think he is necessarily being considered for the first team but he would make a very handy squad player and that is where i see his role, either that or us selling him on for £15m after another couple of loans with decent loan fees which would be a very decent amount of profit.
September 22, 201510 yr For the first few games he did, but before Christmas arrived he lost his spark. So Stoke wanted to sign him permanently just because he was good for the first few games and then later lost his spark? Lol, try again!
September 22, 201510 yr He chose to play for Nigeria not England because he knew he wasnt good enough to get in the England squad. Which shows his level.POINT OF CORRECTION: He chose Nigeria over England because he knew he wont win anything with the English team. Kudos to him for making the right decision and winning the Afcon at his first attempt. He was unlucky to miss the FIFA confederations cup in Brazil due to injury Edited September 22, 201510 yr by wallosh
September 23, 201510 yr So Stoke wanted to sign him permanently just because he was good for the first few games and then later lost his spark? Lol, try again! I'm not sayng he wouldn't have been useful for Stoke, but the fact is he lost his spark after a while, look back and see for yourself. Also, if Stoke want him so bad, why isn't he playing for them now instead of West Ham ? Victor Moses is a decent player and i would have liked us to keep him here, but let's not pretend that he would ever get ahead of Hazard or Pedro, it just isn't going to happen. Hazard is one of the best and Pedro has been playing for one of the best sides of all time for the last ten years. Let's not forget that Pedro has actually played pretty well for us so far. He was unlucky to miss the FIFA confederations cup in Brazil due to injury Don't say point of correction if you don't actually have facts to back it up, it just makes you look stupid. Moses picked Nigeria because he felt he was getting ignored by Stuart Pearce and Fabio Capello, it had nothing to do with England not winning anything. He said it himself in an interview http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/victor-moses-exclusive-chelsea-star-1727110 If he had the chance at the time, he would have picked to play for England. He played for England under 16's, 17's, 19s and 21's. He was just waiting for the senior team to come calling, but it didn't happen for him so he went and picked Nigeria. Hazard is one of the best and Pedro has been playing for one of the best sides of all time for the last ten years. Let's not forget that Pedro has actually played pretty well for us so far. When Stoke wanted him we still thought we needed him for our squad (with Moses being our 3rd choice winger ahead of Cuadrado), as this was all before we went out and bought Pedro which dropped Moses down to 4th choice. I don't think the club thought we were going to sign Pedro or at least Jose gives this impression from what he said about the acquisition, so this will have made Moses our 3rd choice and therefore very unobtainable when Stoke came in for him and by the time he was available Stoke had already made there transfers elsewhere and no longer had a need to sign him so its understandable why he isn't at Stoke even if they were desperate to have him. I do agree with you that he is not at the quality of Pedro or Hazard (but he can still develop so I won't say he will never get there although it is very unlikely), and I also agree that if he had stayed we would have more strength in depth as he is currently better than Traore and Kenedy however there is a down side to keeping him as it takes away from the development of the two youngsters who would be a lot harder to find suitable loans where they are playing at the right quality and are guaranteed game time, which is easy for Moses as he is already BPL proven, and due to this we get the added bonus of a hefty loan fee. Thus I have no qualms with Moses going out on loan as I am glad we are looking to develop youth, but I completely understand the other point of view.
October 27, 201510 yr With the current form of Hazard and Pedro, Jose needs to call Moses back in January
