IMO a good short-term option, pleased with this signing considering whats on the market. I've not watched him since his days at Barcelona so no idea what his current form is like.

I doubt he'll retract on his previous comments about us, but neither did Tubsy and we warmed to him........! ;-)

i think he will prove to be a good signing for this season. a proven goalscorer which is exactly what we need

I definately wouldn't be going after this signing if I were the club, and would be happier going into the season with the current strikeforce.

Reports say a year. He's over 30 so i guess that's accurate.

Interesting addition if only because our options are so limited, hopefully he'll get enough goals and worry defences more than our main strikers do at the moment...might just give us enough to make the difference at the top of the league.

A far few on here are, understandably in my opinion, unhappy with this signing. Mostly that is not due to his ability as a footballer, but more the way he has conducted himself through his career, although that did seem to be before Jose got a hold of him at Inter.

 

I will chose to try and look on the brighter side of it. While he was not many peoples first choice he is someone Jose knows and knows how to get the best out of, has the qualities Jose is looking for (otherwise I doubt we would have signed him) is here for only one year, so if he flops we can get shot without being tied to a long expensive contract. 

 

Let us hope his past actions remain in the past and he is just focused on one last challenge and gives his all for Jose, the team and Chelsea FC.

I'm pro this one, always got goals and It's perfect for the lukaku situation.. remember what's great bit of business united did by signing larson for half a year, this is better.

Looking forward to seeing him play for us, but not sure he will be starting every game.  I think we'll get rid of Ba and use Lukaku more (hopefully).  God knows what is going to happen with Torres.

A proven striker, signed on a free, one year contract, loves playing for Jose Mourinho. Who can complain about this deal?

Not the most inspiring signing, but Jose thinks Eto can still perform at the highest level so i think he'll do alright.  Guess the lukaku saga is going to stretch on though.
