The John Obi Mikel Goal Scoring Thread

He wasn't a brilliant servant to the club but it was clear his time at the club was up. Thanks Mikel we have some amazing memories of our time with you, best of luck in China.

I really really really hope you meant was instead of wasn't, because the man was a f*cking hero

He's finally found his level. We should have held out for a few quid - enough for a couple of pints of milk perhaps, or some fudge. The footballing equivalent of a clitoris I seem to recall. It's unlikely the door will hit his arse on the way out he'll be moving so slowly.

If you are being serious that is absolutely ridiculous.

He played a big part in most of the trophies over the last 10 years and a massive part in the biggest of them all. Go watch our last three games against Barcelona x2 and Bayern and you'll certainly learn to respect Obi Mikel.

That farewell letter to the fans was a classy touch.

Thanks to John for his ten years of service to the club, there's not many players, especially during the Roman era, who serves the club for such a long period.

Wish him all the best for the rest of his career.

Thank God. He can backward pass the Chinese League into oblivion.

Classy.

I'm not John's biggest fan but the man was always there when we needed him (remember Munich?). Won the lot with us and never complained about lack of games.

He wasn't Zidane but he didn't have to be, he was a player the club needed and was a big part of our success.

Not the time to get pot shots into him IMO.

I'm not denying he had the odd good game and turned up in some major finals, but playing with 10 men was sometimes preferable to having him on the pitch.

Thank you Mikel for your 'service' and for stealing a living for 10 years. May you continue to do so at your next club.

Let's get in a real player instead.

This has got to be a troll account surely?

I`d rather you f**ked of to China and we got some "Real fans" instead.

It's weird. I was never Mikel's biggest fan and I found him quite frustrating at times. I thought I'd be pleased to see him go but I'm actually a little bit sad he's going
