Know its early but keen to get everyone to vote for Dave for player of the season.

He's committed and never puts a foot wrong. By far the unsung hero and IMO deserves it more than Hazard.

For me it is between three players. Hazard, Azpilicueta and Cahill each of which have been oustanding and, bar the very occasional game extremely consistent.  There are arguments for all three.

Azpilicueta for adopting to the left back role so easily and, in doing so, maintaining his excellent form he showed last season at right back.  Game after game after game he is at least a 7.5 out of 10 performer which is normally all you ask for a full back.

Hazard has been a consistent bright spark in a front four which has oscillated wildly in terms of form and consistency.  Not one of Willian, Oscar, Torres and Eto'o can be said to have demonstrated consistency or been a regular threat to opposition defenders. As a result the burden on Hazard has been greater than it should have been.  Added ot that he has adapted his game to buy into Jose's work ethic superbly, something Mata didn't seem able to do.

Cahill - good last season, a revelation this season.  With the return of JT to regular first team action, Cahill has risen to the challenge superbly and they are forming a fantastic partnership with Cahill, more and more, being the JT of old when it comes to those 'heroic' last ditch tackles.  We used to worry about who would eventually replace JT. We need not worry about that anymore, what we need to question now is who will replace Cahill once JT Cahill replaces JT!  I think he is a shoeing for the role of future captain as well.

All in all I would give it to Hazard.  As good as Azpilicueta and Cahill have been they have been supported by the always excellent Terry and Ivanovic. This has meant they can concetrate on their job and their job only.  Hazard, on the other hand, has often had to carry the can up front for too many below par performances from players around him.  His work rate has been top drawer and he fully deserves player of the season.

Dave.

He is so consistent and rarely ever puts a foot wrong.

Hazard has been brilliant but Dave gets the vote as he is immense every time we play IMO

What I look at in deciding this is who would we miss the most if they weren't here this season.

Without Dave our back 4 is still solid and we wouldn't concede many. Without Hazard we'd be complete sh*te going forward in the majority of our games.

So Hazard for me.

Matic had he been here all season could possibly have gotten my vote. I think JT is a worthy recipient too and i'd say he'd be my 2nd place behind Eden.

Hazard. Although our back 4 as a whole has kept us steady for the whole season, Hazards creativity has been sublime this season. Also, he's drawn many fouls for important free kicks.

My vote doesn't mean that I value anyone else's performances any less though. Its a team effort, and I think a vast majority of our players have worked hard this season.

Mata, no doubt about it. Doing great stuff as our agent.

After him, it's between Dave and Hazard for me. I'm probably going to vote for Dave, because so many will vote for Hazard.

Terry and Azpilicueta are equal for me right now. They deserve it more than Hazard in my opinion. Hazard has been very good this season but i don't think he has been great. He still has many games where he isn't as effective as he should be.

I would be very happy if Terry or Azpilicueta got the prize.

JT for me. Our current league position is largely due to our solid defence (who all deserve loads of credit) and JT is without a doubt the most important and influential member of our back four. After being messed around by a clueless Interim Manager he showed his professionalism by keeping his mouth shut and working hard and is back at the top, where he belongs. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Cahill is playing his best football for us this season.

It also makes me happy knowing how much it annoys fans of other clubs that a horrible, baby-eating racist like JT is by far the best English defender of this generation.

Most consistent player of the season- Azplicueta

Play who has single handedly bailed us out- Hazard

Indian Summer of the season- JT

Most improved- Gary Cahill

Cult hero of the season- Samuel Eto'o

These are the top five performers and I would probably have them in the order I have listed them. It's crucial having a player that you know will not let you done. I can't think of too many goals which could be pinned on Dave, whereas JT and Cahill have let us down several (though no more) times from set pieces.

Hazard was too cold at the beginning and can go missing to often to be the player of the season, though I would say he is our most important player. Three defenders in our top five players says a lot about our coaching and I think for that reason they could all be replaced more easily. Though take nothing away from JT, Cahill and Azpi as they still had to go out there and perform.

I guess I applaud the initiative - Dave is a great player and a great guy but surely he is anything but an unsung hero , he gets rave reviews after every game!

My vote goes to JT and then Hazard. Those two for me have been the cornerstones of our season, can't imagine where we would be without them. 3rd pace I'd put Dave.

JT has been immense , not that you'd know if you didn't watch every Chelsea game. More chance of the Lost Prophets singer picking up any footballing awards or plaudits at the end of the campaign.

hazard followed by jt followed by azpilicueta.

hazard has been the key to everything going forward, jt is (at least) 60% of the central defensive partnership (though I do like and rate cahill) and azpilicueta is obviously brilliant.
