August 26, 201411 yr i agree, they have enough quality players to beat MK Dons or for that matter Swansea or Sunderland but there seems to be something wrong in the mentality at United. They may be in for a lengthy period in the doldrums if they don't get a grip on things very quickly. I haven't seen anything of Spurs yet this season not even MOTD - how do they look Spud? Well, touch wood, good. Much improved on last season (not hard that to be fair) and confident. Dier looks promising and flexible in terms of where he can play and players like Chadli and Lamela are doing very well in a more fluid system. The Liverpool game will be a test of where we are and, of course, Liverpool will want to do well to put the City result behind them. P.s. Radio 5 saying Giroud out until next year.
August 26, 201411 yr Are players who have come up through the system in the UK not smart enough to perform a more complex system like 5-3-2?

I think Pochettino could be the guy to get Spurs going he did a great job at Southampton. Heard that about Giroud - Arsenal will now launch an audacious bid for Fernando Torres. Remember you heard it here first!
August 26, 201411 yr From Redcafe: The most embarrassing thing about our collapse is the lack of leaders. When Chelsea had Avram the players picked it up and pretty much ran things themselves. Our lot look like lost little boys.

August 26, 201411 yr Another one almost praising us MK Dons will get Chelsea at home next. Who will come and win about 4-0 comfortably with reserves. And one that just made me laugh There's optimism and then there's desperately hanging on to the past. We are like an old. rock band where they actually don't have any original members left just a name and selling out small venues. The crowd kinda wondering what they'' be just watched Edited August 26, 201411 yr by Beerqueen
August 26, 201411 yr Oh my god, my f**king stomach is killing me. Goes to show that the problem, like many (myself included) suspected, was not David Moyes... It's the United have a f**king awful side and a sh*t load of dead wood. How the hell they have just forked out that fee for Angel Di Maria is beyond me when they need freaking defenders.
August 26, 201411 yr I love witnessing the predicement United find themselves in now. Van Gaals mission the implement 3-5-2 into that group of players is just laughable and stubborn as he is i don't see him changing it anytime soon having spent all of pre-season trying to get his players comfortable with it. Their defence and midfield is at the very best, mediocre PL-standard and shoehorning Mata, Rooney and RvP who are all slow as hell into the same team doesn't even give them a good attacking force even though they have the names for it. Di Maria is going to help them, and may rescue 4th for them but in no way do i fear United anymore.
August 26, 201411 yr I see that Barcelona are soon to announce a signing, this ban of theirs should start RIGHT NOW. They shouldn't be allowed time before the ban starts. It's like FIFA are saying "you will have the ban, but we will give you a chance to sort yourselves out before that ban" It's a joke, i guarantee that Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only 2 clubs that would get such favourable treatment.
August 26, 201411 yr I mean... Look at this f**king defending. i know it's great ain't it hahaha. well done louie Edited August 26, 201411 yr by croydonblue
August 26, 201411 yr Stellar performance from Utd, they looked they didn't want to even be there especially Evans; would love to have been in that dressing room at the end. 60mill for a player they don't need when they could have bought 3 decent midfielders or defenders for that...utter f**king joke..What's the odds on LVG lasting the season if they are below half way come January?

Whoever is pulling the strings there, manure keep the laughs on coming. Knowing they defensive help, they break the bank to buy a winger Maybe Sir Red Nose will be coming off the Golf Course to save those bums

August 27, 201411 yr What a way to wake up. Got up for work this morning and looked at the headlines on one of my apps and the Manu "performance" was right there in big bold letters. I couldn't believe it, then I actually started to laugh. Thanks for those highlights above. Good on MK Dons to work them like they did.
August 27, 201411 yr LVG will be gone before Christmas. They can bring in Ted Rogers with his infamous 3-2-1 formation. Edited August 27, 201411 yr by stevo
August 27, 201411 yr I can't stop laughing at Manchester United's decline. It's been dramatic to say the least and some of the stuff I've read on RedCafe (Manchester United forum) is priceless. Van Gaal isn't a bad coach by any stretch of the imagination but he's inherited a rabble of a side that has little upside unless they go through a painful rebuild and transition period to get back to the top. They have decent core set of players like Van Persie, Rooney, Mata and Di Maria but having the likes of Fletcher, Young, Valencia and Cleverley are holding them back from succeeding in the near future. Any rational and realistic supporter would have established that they weren't title contenders to start off with this season and the best they could hope for was a top 4 finish. Although Van Gaal's coaching has been ordinary with his emphasis of playing a 3-5-2 formation which isn't working for their club,. I'm still amused by their insistence to blame Moyes on the decline yet Ferguson left the squad in a bad state and he was the one who recommended Moyes to the Manchester United board as his successor in the first place. Anyway it's karma to this club for all the years they've laughed at us and called us a 'plastic club'. Watch out for a big decline in support in the next few years especially if they win nothing which is likely with the way things are going at the moment. I also found this gem from the Manchester United Facebook page!
August 27, 201411 yr Di Maria has to show more than the form he showed at Madrid (which was very good). I just feel as if they need somebody to perform like Suarez did for Liverpool if they are going progress with the shower of garbage in their squad. Giving Rooney a contract like they did was a mistake, him and RVP have too big egos to be on the bench and Mata is too good to be on the bench. I'd say 4-2-3-1 would be their best formation but the problem is they don't have a holding mid. De Gea Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw (??????) Herrera Di Maria Mata Welbeck RVP Van Persie gets the nod because he'd make better runs for Mata, and whilst somebody like Januzaj is better than Welbeck, he offers less pace and defensive cover. If they sign a proper enforcer (even if it's nigel De Jong) that team isn't that bad.
August 27, 201411 yr If looks could kill. Giggs is thinking: what the f*ck Has Van Gaal got a huge head or what?. It starts halfway down the picture and there still isn't enough room to fit it all in.
