August 27, 201411 yr Throughout the 2 legs Ba had a few great chances for Besiktas but messed them all up.
August 27, 201411 yr Season over now for Arsenal - they are in the CL group stages and what more does Wenger want?
August 27, 201411 yr They would have dropped into Europa though even bigger distraction Don't think they would have given it the same attention...they would have played weakened sides in group stage etc
August 27, 201411 yr Throughout the 2 legs Ba had a few great chances for Besiktas but messed them all up. Yeah and every other aspect of his game was great. That's strange as it's normally the opposite with him.

August 28, 201411 yr Will be interested to see what Delph and Colback can do, hopefully they can spare us from the Wilshere - Henderson partnership that we look doomed to suffer for the next few years.

I can't remember seeing a weaker England squad on paper for years. Even when we didn't qualify for the 74 and 78 World Cups we still had Keegan, Brooking, Coppell, Hoddle etc. Henderson, Milner, Lambert, Welbeck are the sort of players you'd see in the England B team a few years ago.
August 28, 201411 yr CL Draw today, Have a sneaky feeling we will draw Bayern Didn't realize you were a Man City fan. My bad. Edited August 28, 201411 yr by chaboinateg
August 28, 201411 yr Hodgeson for the love of god please just DROP Welbeck,,,,, ughhhhhh. I'm more worried that he STILL picks Milner. Does Hodgson even watch football ? he can't do, or else why the hell would he call up players that don't play or when they do play they are sh*t ? Edited August 28, 201411 yr by Scott Harris

August 28, 201411 yr But who else is there to pick? I think its clear Woy is short on options Anyone is better than Milner. I would rather try someone different than just pick the same failure again and again and again. Milner can be the most hopeless player around and he will still get picked. I have never seen a more undeserved call up to an England team, the guy doesn't even play.
August 28, 201411 yr Milner is a thoroughly misunderstood player and is far from the biggest problem in that painfully mediocre England midfield.
August 28, 201411 yr Milner is a thoroughly misunderstood player and is far from the biggest problem in that painfully mediocre England midfield. True, he isn't the biggest problem, but i am sick of seeing him when he never actually plays any football. Even when he plays for England it is either in friendlies or the last 15 minutes of qualifier. Nathan Dyer has been decent for Swansea for years now, he is far better than Milner and can make a difference when bringing him off the bench. I have no doubt that if Dyer was the City player and Milner was the Swansea player then Milner wouldn't be anywhere near this England team.
