The choice of media language is fascinating, Costa 'criminal' etc., but I read somewhere about Gerrard's 'fairy tale'. I am very old and I have never seen such a thing before, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Many years ago 'fairy' was a derogatory term and the change of meaning is another issue, but to have 'Gerrard's fairy tale' in the press, to me at least, is astonishing and shows the stark contrast with the way the players are viewed.

Some clever IT type please make an old man happy and do a fairy Stevie for me a la the Gone in 60 Seconds mock up.

I gave it a shot. It's not a pretty sight. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Did anybody see that Real Madrid fan go after Gareth Bale in his car after the game?

Are they actually for real? Excuse the pun, but that's just mental.

R.Madrid fans are notorious for stuff like this, no wonder they pretty much banned there ultras.

There golden boy Ronaldo has started all that crap, not intentionally of course but with his whining and reactions it's a good story for the scumbag media then those brain dead idiot fans want someone to blame.

Stuff like this has usually triggered people to leave before, I'm not 100% sure but wasn't this also a factor in Cavani leaving Napoli when his house got vandalized?

Play the video, the madrid fans pulling up the players last night and look at the reaction when bale comes out at the end.

Most the other players had the sense to just drive off.

Childish reaction from the fans who waited outside for them.

Mind you, what do you expect from someone wearing a denim shirt?

Oh Lordy how I laughed, thank you. This and the Brenda mock up are worthy of Viz.

Thanks for going to the trouble :)

This is crazy, who would want to play for fans like this ? How could security let this go on ? I'm sure if one of the players got out of their car and hit the guy they would soon react.

Just because they support the club, it doesn't give the fans the right to do this. If that guy got ran over he would have only himself to blame.

They had no choice.

Not true. It was up to Atkinson to say if he'd seen it. If he said he had, they'd have done nothing.

Which happened with the Barnes assault on Matic with the same ref.

So that's Skrtel and Gerrard out for what 3 games each? Good bye Champions League!

FA Cup might be a forgone conclusion as well, with replay @ Blackburn coming - Lovely to see the dirty red scousers fail

I liked Gerrard's apology for the stamp - in one breath he claims to take "full responsibility" then blames Herrera's initial tackle in the next. What a liability.

This really stood out for me, he was basically playing the victim card "well, he went for me so i reacted...although I shouldn't have...but he went for me first"

same excuse when he punched that dj, got away with that one though. In a Liverpool court. With a scouse jury.
