December 14, 201411 yr If you do well in the Cl as you think you will? Oh and I'm the one putting words in your mouth? Sorry I can't even remember one person going on about the CL here. I don't think we have won the league at all, I am confident it is ours this season as I have every reason to be, I don't see how you can think you will surpass us and City with the performances you have put in, sure you've got more points than you should have but that wont last. We and City are better sides. You could end up spending another 150m in Jan, You couldn't be more arrogant if you tried, the more you spend the more transition you will need. Anything can happen is that all you're saying? To be fair if you translated your post into your actual thoughts it's just "were gonna win the league were gonna win the league were gonna win the league" You've been nothing short of arrogant on this thread just going through the last 6 pages alone. December 14, 201411 yr I'm looking at these saves from De Gea on MOTD and i think people are going over the top. The save from Balotelli was good but if he doesn't save any of the others then it's a howler. The finishing from Liverpool was sh*t, i could have saved them, all i would have had to do is stay where i am. Edited December 14, 201411 yr by Scott Harris
December 14, 201411 yr Apart from the one he tipped onto the bar, everything was straight at him. Sterling and Ballotelli just can't finish. If a Suarez or a Sturridge had had those chances, Liverpool would have scored about 3 themselves.
December 14, 201411 yr Brendan Rodgers has said Simon Mignolet has been dropped "indefinitely". Wow. Don't sugar coat it Brenda, tell us what you really think! Blimey. Jones had a tough game today so why is Rodgers so certain? It's easy to lay into Rodgers. He takes a lot of flak but someone should advise him to shut up.
December 14, 201411 yr Thought of the United Vs liverpool match is, don't let Cech go unless he insists, a GK does win you games. Not surprised Newcastle handed Wenger a life line, used up all the luck and skills against us. I'm sure they will go back to an average team again..
December 14, 201411 yr I guarantee if that was a Chelsea player going down like Kane, Shearer on MOTD would be saying it's a dive, f**king hypocrites. And they are over praising Kane again, he wasn't that great, Bony for Swansea was on a totally different level than Kane. Edited December 14, 201411 yr by Scott Harris

December 15, 201411 yr Garry Monk is starting to annoy me. I really like him as a manager and he seems like a nice guy but according to him Swansea never deserve to lose, like Lambert is with Villa.

I'll say this as clearly as I can. I don't think it's guaranteed that United will win the league. Read that again, it's not a certainty, my thoughts aren't "We're gonna win the league etc." I think it's possible that we could challenge for the league. I.e. don't write us off. Possible, could happen, might happen, there's a chance etc. So now that's understood, do you think it's impossible for us to challenge for the title?
December 15, 201411 yr Actually I can see United catching City if Aguero etc is still out. Going top is very unlikely!

Swiss cheese defence and sh*tty passing in the middle. Fellaini is your DM lol. Edited December 15, 201411 yr by John_Galt

Of course every team has a chance to win the league, it could be 40% or a 0.1% but the only two teams that are strong enough to win it are City and Chelsea. United are rubbish right now, both sides were not good, Liverpool were arguably better that game. Yes you came out with the win, but these are your best performances of the season I believe, it's not a case of playing sh*t and getting results. You will be very very very lucky to get anything more than 3rd place by the end of the season. That's what you should be aiming for anyway, because Arsenal are a much more stable side than you are, just watch come the end of the season, you will probably end up grateful for top 4.
December 15, 201411 yr Its incredible how quick people are to big up De Gea for yesterday. He just did his job and no more. There was maybe two big saves (Keeping Sterling out and pushing Mario's onto the bar, those were good), the rest was standard goal keeping, decent poistioning. And lets not forget some of the shots to him were sidefooted passes. Very strange
December 15, 201411 yr Actually the other Balotelli one where he tried to slide it into the corner was also a top save. The point is he didn't panic on any of the shots and thats a reason he saved the harder ones. It was a top performance from him.
December 15, 201411 yr He did well but I think if the laces were out through the ball he wouldn't have kept a clean sheet. The finishing was incredibly poor and all he had to do was stand there and make a shape
December 15, 201411 yr Let's be honest, the last few games utd have been fortunate to come away with a good result. The next months matches will be big for them in determining where they will end up. I fully expect them to make top four, but it won't be easy.

Very strange United fans seem to want to have this discussion about him being better than Courtois, something I've never really felt had any substance to debate. He made a lot of saves yesterday but I don't think a single one was outstanding. What was more revealing was how woefully inept Liverpool's finishing is.
December 15, 201411 yr So following the 3-0 humbling and elimination from the Champions League at the first hurdle and nearly all of the summer signings starting most games from the bench... Is Brendan Rodgers on borrowed time at Liverpool? They're a complete shadow of the side they were last season and you could argue that none of the numerous summer signings have worked out so far. £45m spent on Lallana and Markovic and neither are first choice. They signed 3 new strikers in the summer, some £30m spent and 34 year old Steven Gerrard is their top scorer with 5 goals. Some £30m+ invested on the defense that conceded some 50 goals last season and at almost the halfway point of the season they've already conceded 22 goals and have a minus goal difference. So do Liverpool keep faith with the manager who got them so close to winning the title last season or ditch the manager who has mis-spent some £130m and seems unable to cope with the demands of playing twice a week that European football brings?
December 15, 201411 yr He is bound to be under severe pressure, having spent the money, but I don't think he is in too much danger of going just yet. If they are still awful once Sturridge is back that will speed up the whole process and the spot light will be blinding for him. He's always been acting like Billy big bollocks with the press, talking about playing in the 'right way' etc, so I find it very hard to have any sympathy for him.
December 15, 201411 yr I think it's strange how Sturridge is being depicted as Liverpool's savior. When he's on form he's a cracking striker, very good finisher but he isn't the sort of player to carry a whole team is he? How someone like Suarez would make a whole attack play better with his intelligent off the ball movement and slick passing. Sturridge is going to be needing the likes of Sterling and Lallana to turn around their indifferent form to provide him with the chances to score the goals. I think their results will improve with Sturridge back but I can't foresee a massive upturn in results.
December 15, 201411 yr And to add to their nightmare, they just drew demba ba's besiktas in the Europa cup. Poor slippy g won't be able to sleep.
December 15, 201411 yr Write us off at your own peril....... Okay, done! If United end the season as champions I'll ask the mods to ban my account from here.
December 15, 201411 yr Said it before but Rodgers has simply been found out with the departure of Suarez. Their defensive record isn't massively worse than last year's (at least it wasn't up until the last couple of weeks) but they've simply not got this world class whirling dervish of a player to bail them out at the other end. He elevated the whole team's performance, as well as Sterling's and I think the same will be true of Sturridge. The hilarious thing for me is their fan's own self-aggrandising behaviour will probably see them stick with him far too long, lest they act like Chelsea and sack an under-performing manager. Go to RAWK and it's practically verboten to speak such doubts. The only thing that will save Rodgers is Liverpool fans and the club being self-aware enough to concede that they aren't a big club who deserve instant success and will have to be sh*t for a while....and that won't happen.
