February 22, 201511 yr feel for Southampton tonight, the officials let them down badly - at least 1 clear penalty and Mignolet should have been off for a handball outside the box big decisions in Liverpool's favour, even avoiding a match ban for MIgnolet is a big bonus for them looking at the race for 4th it seems momentum is with Liverpool right now, United, Southampton and Spurs all looking shaky

February 23, 201511 yr Southampton had 11 days off to prepare for that game whilst Liverpool played two games during that time and were coming off a hard fought EL win, For Southampton to serve up that dross is just unacceptable, It's the equivalent of telling your parents you're going on a gap year to find yourself and find your direction in life and coming home having partied and become a coke addict.
February 23, 201511 yr I think that's the first showing that Southampton are now dropping off the pace for top 4. It's 2 from the 4 of United, Arse, Liverpool and Spurs now.

Sounds like a year well spent.
February 23, 201511 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31586600 Interesting response from a young Peterborough winger in response to Darren Ferguson's sacking; it almost comes across as genuine contrition: "I'm disgusted. We're all to blame. We've cost six people their jobs. The performance on Saturday in the first 45 minutes was disgusting. We let the fans and the whole club down." I'm absolutely devastated. I took the blame personally - us as players went out to perform and we haven't performed as we should do. It's not acceptable. We're 15th in the league, which is absolutely embarrassing for this club."
February 24, 201511 yr Plokoon, I'd like to believe that the guy was genuinely distraught about his manager getting the sack but some comments players make when a manager gets sacked are more ways of getting the fans on his side, He might have hated the manager and been the one kicking up a strop in the background and out of joy felt you know what I can get some brownie points here with the fans, Just ramble on about how we let the fans down and got our manager sacked, Footballers are very dumb intellectual creatures but they're not dumb when it comes to things like that. I mean here's how dumb footballers are in reality, On ssn just now the Irish presenter bird asked Peter Schmeichel if HE thought the club would hand Falcao a permanent deal at the end of season to which he responded 'That's for the club to decide', She asked you Peter. :laugh2:
February 24, 201511 yr Thoughts ahead of tonight Kindkladze? Good time for you to be playing them given the current form of both teams. I'd actually like you to go through because I think it would improve our chances of winning the league with you having some additional games to take care of. Unfortunately I see Barca doing it over 2 legs. Hopefully Pellegrini uses his brain for a chance in the CL and plays 3 in midfield.
February 24, 201511 yr 1-3 Barca in my opinion, they may have lost one game but not after winning like 11 straight...
February 24, 201511 yr Celery, Every time I think we have a good chance of beating them, All I do is remind myself their forward line is Messi, Suarez and Neymar, United fans accused us and Chelsea of having 'dream teams' but if you take a look at the sides since the takeover's both of us have put together hard working, quality sides, Other than Aguero and Silva, Which of our players is truly a 'Galactico'? The odds for tonight's match are the same as Barcelona's trip to Atletico in the Copa Del Rey 2nd leg at the Vicente Caulderon, So in essence the bookie's view us as the equivalent of Atletico, A good team but always beneath Real and Barca. The other thing I hate about this match up is we seem to think it's okay to lose to Barca because there is a mutual respect between the clubs and there's no shame in losing to such a prestigious club with such a great history blah, blah, blah. I've thrown up with the cringeworthy buddy, buddy approach our players and our youtube channel has with Barcelona and their players, They are our opponents, F- em. That's where Chelsea are streets ahead of us, Chelsea and City are both rich boys entering a lavish gala but we seem happy with just going there, Being polite and trying the watercress sandwiches whereas Chelsea rock up with a bottle of courvoisier in their hand, Saying 'What's up bitches?' We don't have the swagger of Chelsea yet, Fair enough domestically we've been better but Europe is where you are made in my book. I hope I'm absolutely wrong and Aguero scores a hat trick but I fear a 1-2 or 2-3 defeat, I'd take a 1-1 to the Nou Camp. Edited February 24, 201511 yr by Kinkladze1871
February 24, 201511 yr Mind you Suarez' record in the big games over here was horrendous, I think he scored 1 goal against us and that was a free kick, Hoping he has another one of those, That just leaves Messi and Neymar needing to have bad games and we'll win.

Love it
February 24, 201511 yr City might actuallly win today, a narrow 2-1 win for them I think. Zabaleta will cancel Neymar's opener and Dzeko will seal the win.
February 24, 201511 yr Barca dispatched PSG at the Nou Camp in the group stages and they are a better team than Man C, so im goin with 1-3 Barca...
February 24, 201511 yr Suarez, Neymar and Messi all start tonight. City are going to get annhilated! Watching it in the comfort of home, should be entertaining!
February 24, 201511 yr I'm going for a 1-3 Barcelona. City will try and outplay Barcelona and that will be their downfall. You will need a very special group of players to outplay a team like Barcelona, like Bayern Munich when they destroyed them. I don't think City are capable playing like we do when we play against Barcelona either so i can only see this going one way.

February 24, 201511 yr Great avatar :) Thank you, i think it reflects mine and many Chelsea fan's feelings right now
February 24, 201511 yr Expecting a good performance from Barcelona. Normally hate rooting for them at all but I have started to get my fill with City fans over the last few months. Want them to lose and to lose badly tonight.
