We need Liverpool to have some momentum and beat City next week.

Southampton had 11 days off to prepare for that game whilst Liverpool played two games during that time and were coming off a hard fought EL win, For Southampton to serve up that dross is just unacceptable, It's the equivalent of telling your parents you're going on a gap year to find yourself and find your direction in life and coming home having partied and become a coke addict.

I think that's the first showing that Southampton are now dropping off the pace for top 4.

Thoughts ahead of tonight Kindkladze? Good time for you to be playing them given the current form of both teams. I'd actually like you to go through because I think it would improve our chances of winning the league with you having some additional games to take care of. Unfortunately I see Barca doing it over 2 legs. Hopefully Pellegrini uses his brain for a chance in the CL and plays 3 in midfield.

Celery, Every time I think we have a good chance of beating them, All I do is remind myself their forward line is Messi, Suarez and Neymar, United fans accused us and Chelsea of having 'dream teams' but if you take a look at the sides since the takeover's both of us have put together hard working, quality sides, Other than Aguero and Silva, Which of our players is truly a 'Galactico'? The odds for tonight's match are the same as Barcelona's trip to Atletico in the Copa Del Rey 2nd leg at the Vicente Caulderon, So in essence the bookie's view us as the equivalent of Atletico, A good team but always beneath Real and Barca.

 

The other thing I hate about this match up is we seem to think it's okay to lose to Barca because there is a mutual respect between the clubs and there's no shame in losing to such a prestigious club with such a great history blah, blah,blah. I've thrown up with the cringeworthy buddy, buddy approach our players and our youtube channel has with Barcelona and their players, They are our opponents, F- em. I'm going for a 1-3 Barcelona. City will try and outplay Barcelona and that will be their downfall. You will need a very special group of players to outplay a team like Barcelona, like Bayern Munich when they destroyed them. I don't think City are capable playing like we do when we play against Barcelona either so i can only see this going one way.

Expecting a good performance from Barcelona. Normally hate rooting for them at all but I have started to get my fill with City fans over the last few months. Want them to lose and to lose badly tonight.
