Yup. They know full well what people will vote after the recent press. People are divs who just lap up any old sh*t they read. As if Chelsea play as pragmatically as they did against United and Arsenal every week. 4 points from those 2 games (with our top scorer out) is excellent...then we scored three goals away from home tonight against a side who have won their last 4. They didn't do the poll after we battered Swansea and Schalke (both away from home) 5-0 did they? Man United have been serving up turgid, sh*t on a stick football for two seasons now. A few decent performances and all is forgotten.

The thing that sets Jose aside from other managers (most notably a charlatan like Rodgers) is knowing when to play cautiously and when to play expansively.

Arsenal managed one shot on target against Chelsea in the two league games this season. Enthralling, edge-of-the-seat stuff.

Given that the media appear to have given a lot of prominence to a pathetic chant from a bunch of bitter, twisted, jealous and clueless Arsenal tossers, and run features on whether their chant holds true, I presume they will shortly be conducting polls on whether Chelsea fans are indeed a bunch of f*cking rentboys, as alleged by the lovable Scousers..

Not a fan of Pearson, but his post match interview was excellent.

He rubbished the Boring Chelsea jibes, winners need to adapt.

The highlight was when Alan Smith was asked if we would be tired on Sunday. His Liverpool dig, and Jamie Carraghers face made my night :)

Yeah that's been hotly contested on good old twitter.  He was asked a question, he didn't mention Ra*a by name, he didn't lift up his jersey to reveal a "f**k you Ra*a" under shirt. 

 

Then, the other thing I've seen lots of today, especially from QPha, and strangely Arsenal fans, is them slating him for sending condolences to Rio.  Saying he should apologise for being racist first, and that he was only making that statement to push his own agenda.  So much bitters.

I was surprised no none made  a big deal in the media about the penalty against Palace. It was a penalty, but it's never a penalty for Chelsea, by past experience.

Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, which sealed the title, was their 25th victory in the Premier League this season, but only their fifth by that scoreline. Stats don't matter to the hate filled anti Chels in the stand and in the media.

We are big bad Chelsea who bought our way to the top and are run by a mad Russian who is ready to leave at any moment in time remember.

I think a lot have (Neil Ashton aside) but I think the media often jump on bandwagons anyway, had we lost this recently to Arsenal they'd have jumped all over us. But this is the media, they have to keep it interesting. So they build people up, to bring them down, and vice versa.

I've found it all a bit strange to be honest. 

 

It was a chant from the Arsenal fans sung mostly out of frustration/jealously that by them not beating us it effectively handed us the title. 

 

But since then it's become a media narrative... "Are this Chelsea team boring?". 

 

Opposition fans have jumped all over it and used it as a stick to beat us with "Oh I don't know how Chelsea fans can watch the sh*t their team serve up every week" etc etc. 

 

But as you say by journalists and pundits the notion of being boring has pretty much been universally dismissed. 

 

Is it because we've basically won the title unchallenged that there is little point of discussion about us as a team. We've walked it in the end and no one came close to challenging us... So where is the story? Oh I know, let's spin something out off the back of a terrace chant. 

 

Ironically what I've found boring is the opposition fans (nearly always Arsenal) flooding Chelsea's Twitter and Facebook pages and replying to every single post with "Boring". It's become their catchphrase now... It's strange.

If you are a journo or a pundit then your performance is based on popularity so I think their opinion can be easily swayed towards the tag line at the time. To be frank our team and some of our players have made it easy on them at times.

 

We have won the title at a cantor so it is easy for them to do a "told you so" or they set the standard or they are not boring anymore.

 

At the end of last Season Citeh were going to dominate for some years now it is Chelsea... two seasons ago German football was the way forward, now looks like a possible two Spanish teams in the CL final for the second year.

 

Like us fans they are all fickle

Well it is boring at times .....................polishing all the Trophies and winners medals we have now .............takes bloody ages ................and that European cup is a bugger
