May 7, 201511 yr I've found it all a bit strange to be honest. It was a chant from the Arsenal fans sung mostly out of frustration/jealously that by them not beating us it effectively handed us the title. But since then it's become a media narrative... "Are this Chelsea team boring?". Opposition fans have jumped all over it and used it as a stick to beat us with "Oh I don't know how Chelsea fans can watch the sh*t their team serve up every week" etc etc. But as you say by journalists and pundits the notion of being boring has pretty much been universally dismissed. Is it because we've basically won the title unchallenged that there is little point of discussion about us as a team. We've walked it in the end and no one came close to challenging us... So where is the story? Oh I know, let's spin something out off the back of a terrace chant. Ironically what I've found boring is the opposition fans (nearly always Arsenal) flooding Chelsea's Twitter and Facebook pages and replying to every single post with "Boring". It's become their catchphrase now... It's strange. If anything was boring this sesson it was how poor our rivals were. It's funny though saw my old neighbour the other day (he's a Gooner) and he said a few more weeks and they'd have caught us. I just said oh we were suddenly going to start dropping points then? Idiot!
May 7, 201511 yr I would have thought what's really boring is seeing your side lose when the pressure is on, call for a manager to be replaced - only to be ignored, be embarrassed in Europe, beat a lot of dross late on to secure a top four place, then talk about how you have played best football all year, ignoring all the shortcomings and how with a couple more signings, next season will see the long wait for the title come to an end.....and then repeat it all over again
November 8, 201510 yr I am bumping this thread back. Where is the outrage of Charlie Adam? Matic didn't even do as much & was sent off vs Wet Spam. Adam goes around kicking & throwing elbows, but it's acceptable cause it's Chelsea. You freakin' English just love to accept this crap. I am pointing the finger at the Media, who are dirty red lovers ...all of them. “If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”? Malcolm X
November 8, 201510 yr Shawcross elbow aswel last night, not a word said about it after it, But Shawcross is English and therefore cannot be compared with a lousy dago like Costa who abandoned his homeland to jump on the Spanish bandwagon. There's a touch of xenophobia in the media too. Foreigners are fair game and we've got too few English people in senior positions at Chelsea to get a fair hearing. Sack Mourinho and appoint Pardew and see how the press view would change, especially if we playe 3 or 4 young English players. Edited November 8, 201510 yr by carrickblue

There was one play in particular where Costa was running towards the Stoke City area. Both Adam & Shawcross fouled Costa, but the ref said play on. During the replay one could tell that it was a foul, but the commentators that I had said because Costa embellished the fact the foul wasn't given. WTF is that? Sorry but it's poor & so freakin' apparent it's pretty sad.

Now we need more english men in our boardroom? City has how many again? Mate, City lost 4-1 to spurs sometime back, two of spurs goals were offside. There was no meltdown, they got back to doing their thing. Sometimes you get favors, sometimes you don't. We cried murder at every decision that went against us, now sadly we are suffering for it. November 8, 201510 yr You only have to look at the fallout from Saturday. Stoke boot any other team about and the media condemn them, especially if its arsenal. They boot us about, elbows all over the place and what do they all zero in on? A complete non event with a pathetic steward.

Remember when le voyeur shoved Jose? Why didn't get get a stadium ban? I remember what how the pundits acted. They laughed & appauled. 'Time someone put Jose in his place'. Now that I think of this, most of the issues vs the refs this season started after the gooner win. People were stating that Gabriel Paulista was wrongly sent off & that DC was the Antichrist. Paulista was just stopping Armageddon. Edited November 8, 201510 yr by robdog

November 9, 201510 yr How Adam got subbed without receiving a booking is beyond me This is why the Premier League is lacking quality right now. The refs allow players to kick, push, shove and elbow football out of the game. I don't know how many times i have seen Willian cynically fouled without the opposition picking up a booking this season. I love the competitive nature of the Premier League and i love a good tackle, but i like tackles to be fair. So many cynical fouls are going unpunished this season.
November 11, 201510 yr Did i read right both West Scum & Chelsea fined for failing to control their players. West Scum fined £40k. Chelsea fined £50k. Fair? No. Any wonder why we think there is a campaign against us. Oh and before anyone says we had 5/6 players booked etc hence the higher fine, we have already been fined for that at £25k.

November 11, 201510 yr Wasn't it because Matic and Jose were sent off? JM got a one match stadium ban & £40k fine Matic comes under the 5 or more players booked. It is either an accumulation of everything or it's just we are richer.
November 11, 201510 yr The Gabriel vs Costa incident also saw us fined more than Arsenal and the FA didn't explain why. It seems like it gives an impression that both teams were guilty, but they want everyone to believe that Chelsea were more guilty.

I'm more interested in why Chelsea players were booked by the ref yet not west ham players. Apparently both teams were guilty yet only one was treated as such during the match.

November 12, 201510 yr Giroud was involved with more argy bargy against Spurs at the Weekend, I haven't seen any calls for him to be retrospectively punished though. Just saying. Edited November 12, 201510 yr by SHELLY
December 12, 201510 yr In an item published in the Secret Footballer's Diary on 2 November 2015 it was claimed that Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas was the leader of a mini-revolt against manager Jose Mourinho. Our information on this was incorrect. Cesc Fabregas was not organising a dressing room revolt and has an excellent relationship with the manager. He is very happy at Chelsea. We regret our error and have apologised to Cesc Fabregas. -source: The Secret Footballer What took so long
December 12, 201510 yr I don't think there is any campaign but the one we want there to be. If you ask ManU or Arsenal fans if they think there is a campaign against them they say hell yes. Point is we are and can never be objective concerning Chelsea. We are fans.
