Diego is what football should be sometimes. Love the passion and energy. The row where he gets the red isn’t even anything malicious.

His scoring ability against Real was fantastic. I believe he is going to be on fire this season.

 

At one point Atletico were up 6-0, not a great one for Hazard and Thibo. Trippier seems to have had a good match and good to see Costa get the better of Ramos. 

He just wants to be a thug whenever possible and since Atletico played as if it was a Cup final and not a pre-season game I bet Simeone is totally fine with his behaviour and red card, that means he is in the right place.

Real Madrid has big problems for sure and this time I don't think Zidane will manage the dressing room, Hazard came from a more or less player-running club to another one so he will be fine he's used to it.

Pure genius and madness, 4 goals and an absolutely insanity to get a red card and made a football game into a pub brawl. On is day, only Drogba in his prime could compare to him. The biggest mistake in the last 3 seasons was letting him go. Conte never really recovered that season after the row with Costa, we bought 200M worth of players and still couldn't fill Costa's void.

I looked at it on youtube and although Costa fouls it does not that bad, certainly a card though not sure about a straight red. Just before it is clear the Real Madrid player kicks an Atletico player and then Diego steps in.

Think in a way it also tells a story about Conte & Costa’s relationship, can imagine Conte while pretending to ignore Costa was likely seething inside.
