Also very glad Morata has started so well, so we don't have to listen to as much crap from commentators rehashing the whole thing every 2 minutes. Yep, we knew what we were getting ourselves into. The whole situation felt a bit like Tevez at City when he just f**ked off to Argentina for half the season.
September 28, 20178 yr Morata will be more clinical, plus he'll probably play the whole season rather than the first part of it like Diego did in 14/15 and 16/17. Let's not forget the awful 15/16 season to!He is beginning to prove me wrong. Great performance against Athletico.
May 4, 20188 yr Costa was brilliant last night. He was in the mood and ran Arsenal’s defence ragged. Having watched him again last night has made me realise just how useless Morata is.

May 4, 20188 yr I bet that half of Arsenal players thought that Costa did something to Koscielny, but then Costa was the first player to call the referee and stop the game. Amazing how the world is looking only for the dirty moves by him, but when he does something good, nothing. Plus he had a very good game.
May 4, 20188 yr Such a shame he couldn’t get settled here. Could have been one of our all time greatest strikers. 52 goals in 89 games, who knows how many he could get in 200 games. Probably at least hundred. Makes you realise how lucky we were to keep Drogba for so long.
May 4, 20188 yr Sad fact is, he never wanted to be here. Wanted out basically as soon as he signed. Drogba was the same at the beginning, he didn't want to be here, but stuck it out and developed an affection for the club. Shame Costa couldn't do the same.
May 4, 20188 yr Vintage display from Diego last night. Showed everything we've been missing: hunger, aggression, self-belief, skill, passion. And a decisive goal.
May 4, 20188 yr Author I miss my boy Diego. One of my all time favourite players to pull on a Chelsea shirt.
May 4, 20188 yr Diego Costa is just a pure cold blooded killer in front of goal, he's not amazingly fast and not amazingly skilful but he's absolutely ruthless

We did well to get out as much from him as we did. He's happy to be back where he wanted to be in Spain (although he may have been happier still in China on £600k a week!). It's all very well folk saying why didn't we hold on to him etc, and yes, we could do with a clinical striker like Costa, but when his form dipped, he was worse than Morata has been at times this season.
May 4, 20188 yr Yup, when he's on his game, and his head is right, and he's focused on playing football instead of posturing like a prat, he's a phenomenal striker. People need to remember he was good half the time, and bad the other half. However, he's a winner and a fighter, with a strong mentality and a big personality, and he's got a real edge to his game, and we miss that badly. I was happy to see him go and I've no doubt it was the right decision but there's no doubt his exit has also come at a price. I only hope Morata was watching the game yesterday and saw what a proper centre-forward looks like.
May 4, 20188 yr Lets be honest too though, Ospina basically fell over like a child taking its first steps as soon as Costa got into the box. It was woeful goal keeping for him. If Morata could however channel some of Costas good points. we'd have a superstar on our hands, jury is still very much out on this one.
April 11, 20197 yr Author Been handed an 8 match suspension following his red card against Barca where he told the ref "I sh*t on your whore mother". Never change Diego, never change.
April 12, 20197 yr Been handed an 8 match suspension following his red card against Barca where he told the ref "I sh*t on your whore mother". Never change Diego, never change. We all knew Conte made the right decision with him. He has simply lost his commitment to the game. It wasn't a surprise that he was more desperate to go to China over playing us.
April 13, 20197 yr Makes you wonder if he will wake up one morning in twenty years time and say, 'Where did it all go wrong?' And the distant memory of winning the league and the hordes of fans singing, 'Diego' will return to him as a big regret.
