What's the point taking 80m when there is no one better to replace him even with that money? Some players are just indispensable. He can win us titles, 80m will not.

I can't see him leaving in Janurary regardless. I'm pretty sure he'll see out the season.

I can see why people would be reluctant to sell the Costa of 2016/2017, but honestly it would not be the first time that he is unprofessional.

This is not to say that I want to show him the door, but it's worth pointing out that 80m for a 28 yo striker, an opportunity for Michy to prove himself and a better outlook for Tammy Abraham (and other youth products) mean that this story, if true, is not the end of the world either.

So don't lose your minds and have a nice Friday evening everyone. 

Lol. Nobody does self destruction as much as Chelsea. If this is true then the club should back the manager and if he wants to use this as an opportunity to go to China and get more money then go. Same goes to any player that wants to put money ahead of playing with elite players.

This doesn't necessarily imply that Conte and Costa had a row, just that Conte intervened in a row between Costa and a fitness coach. All the same, this doesn't sit particularly well on the eve of a difficult match.

 

Costa has not trained with the rest of the squad for the past three days after a bust up over an injury with a club fitness coach, in which Conte got involved, and has not travelled to Leicester.
