January 5, 20179 yr I read somewhere this morning Costa will go to a Chinse club after this incident with Pedro It's a non issue, just one of the example of how we didn't click yesterday. Costa was frustrated, he had no chance to get one those luiz straight ball from the back. I was amazed he didn't get a card after such a frustrating night.

Speaking about that, at the end of the day, I'm pretty sure it's non issue.. However, they shouldn't have let it happen because that just gave the fuel for the opposition to laugh about especially when we didn't win.. no matter how you look at it, it didn't look good for us at that time.. I can understand with costa's frustration, pedro literally giving him no option, should have moved away to the left hand side giving some option for costa.. Having said that, I think costa dragged it a lil bit too long for my liking, if it's heat in the moment stuff then we all can just shrugg it off.. I think this 1 should be addressed by the manager..
January 13, 20179 yr Everyone is reporting it, including Matt Law in the Telegraph. Looks like a clear leak from Costas camp probably, damn it! Bad, bad news. Not sure I want to believe it even, they seem so close and trusting of one another. Hopefully just a heat of the moment, bad mistake by Costa that Conte forgives him.
January 13, 20179 yr Sounds like it may just be they had a row over whether he was fit or not. Hopefully nothing much in it. Please. I hope. For God's sake.
January 13, 20179 yr Worst thing to happen before a huge away game. All the preparation is up in smoke now, doesn't bode well for tomorrow
January 13, 20179 yr And others are saying it was a row with fitness staff not Conte and Conte has just left him out because of an injury. Nothing to see here. Fingers crossed.
January 13, 20179 yr Matt Law is saying he hasn't trained with the team for three days after a row with the fitness coach and have a 30£ million net a year offer from China that is tempting him... Terrible news, right before such a vital away game too.
January 13, 20179 yr Can't we go one season without some sort of crisis ? Hopefully this is just the media blowing things out of proportion.
January 13, 20179 yr Let's wait and see eh. It wouldn't exactly be unusual for the Mail, Sun and Telegraph sports sections to be making a mountain out of a molehill.
January 13, 20179 yr Assuming any of what's been printed is correct, it sounds like he says he's injured and so hasn't been training, the medical staff perhaps think otherwise, and Conte's left him out. It's not exactyly a secret he's never really been that happy here, and if he's got a huge offer from China it may well be turning his head.
January 13, 20179 yr What the f**k, hopefully this is all bollocks, literally the worst time for something like this to happen.
January 13, 20179 yr Media just don't like to see us doing well this is probably nothing but because its us its a mountain out of molehill
January 13, 20179 yr Well, honestly, at £80m I would sell him. And I do understand why Costa would consider a £30m a year offer, too. Having said that, I hope the reports are utterly exaggerated, which I am sure they are, and they will manage the situation in a professional manner. Edited January 13, 20179 yr by PythonLu
January 13, 20179 yr To put a positive spin on this, it's possibly another chance to see what Batshuayi can do.

We went through this last season, who would we replace him with? There's literally no striker I can think of who could come in and do his job that is realistic

No way would I sell him for 80£ million in todays market. You wouldn't get a striker as good as Diego Costa for 80£ million in football today for me.
