QPR vs Chelsea (PL) 12/04/2015 KO: 13:30 GMT

Featured Replies

Football is a funny old game, it wouldn't really surprise me if Terry scores the winning goal against Sunderland in the last game of the season which keeps QPR up.

If we've already wrapped up the title hopefully he'll intentionally miss and condemn QPR to relegation, just saying.

Fantastic game, that goal is definitely one of my favourite moments of the season thus far.

And I echo the above sentiments, if we've already won the title i'd happily see us throw the Sunderland game to relegate the horrible inbreds.

Thanks to our future great Green and current great Hazard, we got there in the end. Embarrassing performance from us, at times we couldn't pass 2 m straight or sideways. Farbrgas had a shocker, but to his credit ht was at the right spot the right time. Drogba won't have his fairytale farewell with us again, the earlier the other 2 strikers come back the better. I don't think we are going to get much out of the next 2 games with him starting. Great to see Ivanoic gave their fans some back, I'm sure the FA fun police will charge him this week for bringing the game into dispute.

f**k off back to the fiery chasm championship from whence you came QPR.

Go f**k off there. Then once you're there go f**k off some more. f**k off further until we cannot f**king see you anymore.

It was the QPR fans screaming vitriol at Oscar when he was taking the corner who wound me up. I said earlier, I don't understand the mentality of someone who screams abuse at a 23 year old man from Brazil who is a nice bloke publicly and a family man privately. A man who he's obviously never met.

Beyond me.

Said exactly the same thing.

Morning after.....

Absolutely delighted with the result.

I said before that the games against Stoke and QPR would be massive and that if we could win these two it would go a long way towards us winning the title. The 6 points is huge but it's also about momentum going into the harder games we have of our run in and now we enter these with our cushion of points as it was.

It was by no means a vintage performance and QPR saw to the fact that we couldn't play much football- as predicted they raised their game for their cup final but in the face of a hostile crowd and team fighting against relegation we kept our heads, remained in the game and then 'nicked' the three points with a bit of quality- no complaints from me.

QPR fans are a strange breed, there were some very odd creatures in and around that stadium ranging from grown men in replica shirts and oversized sombrero's, men with horns and trumpets, clappers, claret and blue 'west London T-shirts, leggings.... I saw it all yesterday. Odd bunch.

As for their behaviour, I won't get on my high horse about the thrown objects after the goal in the heat of the moment, whilst unacceptable  I more found the 'getting in our players faces' at every opportunity more cringeworthy. You look at the state of some of their fans who were 'giving it' and it just smacks of 'try hards' who should just belt up and behave themselves. A prime example was the fool who jumped over the barrier during our players goal celebrations like the big man and then stopped when he got to the white line of the pitch as if there was some electric fence stopping him from carrying on. Then after stopping in time for a steward to grip him up he did the whole 'let me get at him' routine. What was the point in that? had he wanted to get to our players and have a go at sticking one on Ivanovic there was nothing stopping him, I wonder why he stopped himself? I think we all know the answer. Proper melts.

Anyway, massive win and stuck it up those mongy QPR fans good and proper, it was a hammer blow to their survival hopes and they know it. The celebrations in that away end yesterday were up there with anything this season. Brilliant stuff.

WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!!!

Can't help thinking we'd have lost this game last season.

Haha, football fans always do that. I remember when Adebayor ran the length of the pitch against Arsenal and there fans were giving it the same. Charging forward and literally grabbing their mates doing the same routine. It's pathetic!

You're right Bobby, these were the games we lost not just last season, but in the years since we last won the title...lots of bitterness around about how we are not that good, don't deserve to win the title etc...utter bollox..not only cos we have been by far the best side, whether it be by playing the sexy football earlier in the season or the character to dig out results like we have done in the second half....but it's amazing what short memories people have...are they suggesting that Utd and arsenal, who stunk the place out for months are more deserving? Yes they're playing well now, but that doesn't mean rubbish performances instantly get forgotten

The day after and I still can't believe we won that...One of the sweetest victories in ages, made better by the sheer nastiness of the QPR troglodytes...

Go by train, go by car go and laugh at QPR !!!!

....oh and did Fabregas kiss the shirt after scoring? That'll go down well in north London.

Watched it again, he definitely kisses the shirt after he scored.

I'm sure he'll get a typical Arsenal fan reception come the 26th.

Imagine the scenes if he scores there and celebrates my slapping the badge like he did against Schalke or kissing the shirt.

Not even worth talking about the performance because Jose pulled it out of the bag again. I was very worried about Fabregas and Matic starting because of their bookings situation, but they conducted themselves wonderfully and Jose got that one spot on. QPR is still one of the worst places to go to, just a cheap, nasty ground with cheap, nasty fans.

But that was a champions performance. We may not be sprinting along the final straight but we gutting games out and showing character (real character, not Rodgers's version of it). Looking forward to the final run-in.

He kissed the shirt but not the badge, I don't know if that lessens the significance somewhat.

You try seeing what your kissing with that mask on your face.

Oscar doesn't seem to be the least bit impressed, just getting on with his job :JC_doubleup:

Haha good point! It reminds me of another masked man in blue who rediscovered his goalscoring touch (ahem) as soon as he donned his new facial attire:

This. I was there as well, the celebrations for the goal were incredible. The end went absolutely beserk! Great day, will remember that one for a long time!

Makes that ridiculous price they charged for their tickets well worth it on this occasion.

as you say, that goal celebration won't be forgotten about anytime soon!

Think you will find he is having a go at Branna not Oscar, as you can see from Oscar reaction he is not looking at ape man but looking into the field of play.

A massive three points earned today, not by pure football terms but by hard fought doggard action that was saying, we will not get beaten by a team who where intent on thuggish action, played on a surface that was more like a cow field, just wondering what they use to cut the grass with? a rotavator!!

If there is justice, hopefully they will be back in the Championship or even lower next seaason.
