As it's Thursday night, an accurate assessment of how many fans Arsenal actually have, perhaps. 

Do you all think that we could sell out a 60k stadium at the moment with the form we are in? I'd like to think that we could and it would take seasons of mediocrity for that to change, but honestly I'm not sure.

Arsenal are really quite lovely to watch when they play well.

Arsenal fans and critics think Wenger doesn't spend enough. I don't see why he should spend more on players when he has a squad that can play like they showed tonight.

The problem with them is psychological. They can only play like this when there's nothing big at stake. As someone who tends to get flustered in big situations, I can relate to that.

When you have a group of players who don't excel under pressure, you need a great leader in the dressing room. They don't have one. What's even worse is that their manager seems as well like the type that gets flustered under pressure.

Just read that Spurs' stadium could cost around 750 million pounds, our redevelopment is estimated at 500 million... quite remarkable when you consider Schalke's Veltins Arena, retractable roof and sliding pitch included, came in at 191 million Euros. Although I guess inflation would bump that figure up a bit.

Sad to say I don't think we should, it's unethical.  A pre-match lasagne ought to be on the menu though.

 

Seriously though, we'd scream and shout if it happened to us, the best team wins and it's up to Ranieri to get them there.  I don't think he will, his history is a 'close but no cigar' man and it will grate but Spurs will have been worth it.

 

Anyway it's not like we haven't won it recently and they haven't won the CL yet.

I know it is 17 years ago, and it's in Cardiff not London, but the Milliennium Stadium (72,500 capacity, retractable roof, dodgy playing surface) only cost £120m. Wembley cost over 6  times that about six years later (with 18000 more seats, but no retractable roof). 

I think there were penalties to the Millstad builders though. They agreed to build it for a fixed price and they had to foot the bill for any extra costs, which ran into tens of millions. Great stadium, though.

This always go over budget, so expect £1 billion when it's finished. If this were anything other than football, a stadium would cost less than half that. Someone is getting rich, and it isn't the construction workers.

No doubt the price of steel will go up the minute construction begins.

 

Still, there ought to be a scrap value to the amount of the stuff the stadium already has in it, hopefully they take that into account.

Aston villa are an absolute shambles, I actually feel sorry for there fans.

"Aston Villa defender Jores Okore is refusing to play for the club, according to caretaker boss Eric Black.

The 23-year-old Denmark international refused to be on the bench for the visit of Bournemouth on 9 April and is now training with the club's under-21s.
