As much as Jose has done for us, I'll never forgive him for getting rid of Mata. What a player he is, and such a nice guy as well.

Smalling is turned into a fantastic defender to be honest. Cahill and him can do well in the national team.

Me too. Guy could have been a club legend. Will always be a legend to me. He wasn't the perfect player but who is besides Messi/Ronaldo?

Let's not talk about Mata this thread could become very emotional for some of us. I quite like the laugh at other teams undertone we've got going on.

On a side note I was really impressed with Martial, deceptively strong. Can play with his back to goal. I thought he was a Delay type player cut in and shoot. But he is an actual striker and a pretty good one at that from what I saw today. Hold up play was very good.

You build teams around players like that, surely leaving him at no.10 and instead of buying Fabregas invest in a real box to box midfield general could have got us the same result. I understand why Oscar plays but from what I see his pressing only works when the rest team does so in tandem. And that only happens in the first 10 minutes if we're up for it or straight after we concede a goal. So I have to ask the question is it worth it?

Fabregas and Mata play different positions.

Jeez ! the Europa League is so boring! Most teams lack any real quality and the best sides show up with half hearted attempts to win. I don't get it, the prize for winning the competition is Champions League football, surely it's worth winning for that reason alone.

I know EL sucks and they're talking of introducing a third European Competition. That format worked great when there were less teams getting into the top competition but you just know if they do there'll be teams who finish the likes of 7th-8th getting in it.

I personally think they should go back to the old days but they won't and seen as though they won't they need to trim the Europa League down and have it on alternate weeks to the CL to give it focus.

I've thought Jose's been talking too much about Wenger lately, but then I saw this:
