He did indeed but tibo makes stupid saves, like the one for Athletico on JT's header, won them the game that save, or even tiago silvas first header, unfortunately only to get beat the following corner by sh*t marking

I have full confidence in our no. 1 wearing keeper, but I do hope for a more solid back 4 to help him. No use having an excellent back-up keeper otherwise.

That £8m on Begovic is starting to look like money well spent already. 

Courtois 'out for quite a long time' says Mourinho, he needs knee surgery.

To be honest, I am not that worried because Begovic was very good when he had to play. Of course, I would prefer all first team players to be fit all the time, but this is probably the only area in the squad where we have a replacement ready to jump in that is almost as good.

I have always doubted in Thibaut's condition. Firstly, he had many injuries last year - 3 or 4. A big number for goalkeeper. In Madrid the situation was almost the same. Secondly, he's  not sure in himself. The confidence which he has to have, considering the class he has, is gone. Charlie the Barrel scored from 60m. and what was his reaction? To stay on the line and not to move. The proof - Terry's red card against WBA. He was quite confident in corners at the beginning. , conceded few goals and then stopped? Why?!?!

 

For me Courtois is better goalkeeper than Peter's ever been. But he needs more time.

Not at all concerned, I think all we lose is a bit of height when defending set pieces but aside from that, Begovic has shown himself to be a class shot stopper.

Begovic is quality. This scenario is exactly why you need a backup keeper you can trust at the top level; you simply cannot rely on luck. Imagine if we needed to rely on Ross Turnbull for four months?

 

Asmir Begovic is a top-notch goalkeeper; last season he was probably one of the top six in the Premier League (I would argue that Courtois, Cech, De Gea, Hart and Lloris are the other four), he is perfectly reliable and hopefully he will stake his claim to be our starting keeper. This is certainly not our biggest problem at the moment.

Gutted to not have Courtois, but if there is one area we can have no complaints over our summer deals, it's bring in begovic, who proved at city he is a more than able deputy.

Wishing Courtois a speedy recovery. I am glad we got Begovic.

Begovic is a great deputy but no keeper will excel with the dodgy back 4 and holding mids we have seen from Chelsea so far this season.

 

Real bad luck will be an injury or red to him moving forward.

Where are those reports from because on his pre match press conference he refused to comment on anything, just that he needs surgery, i assume one of the papers are guesstimatng 

The Telegraph says up to 3 months. This season's going really great. ..

If Courtois is out for months isn' there something called the emergency transfer window where you can take players on loan, if Beg gets injured before a big game I don't think Blackman is up to it
