*Official* Pedro to Chelsea

Featured Replies

The thing I loved about Pedro was his directness. We haven't had that in a long time!

Hazard could learn a lot from him. Not to mess around with the ball trying to take players on, and instead, propelling the team forward with quick movements.

What a debut, couldn't have asked for anymore really...........well we could, but asking for more would have just been greedy

The best is yet to come.

But....but...but Jose hates Spanish players.

Considering he had fall outs with a few of the Spaniards at Real Madrid it's quite interesting that since he's come back he's brought in Costa, Fabregas and Pedro in only two years

Interesting listening to Sam Allardyce before the game on Sky.

His opinion was Jose went into the season thinking he had enough, but two games in he changed his mind, and suddenly he wanted Pedro.

We stole in at the last minute but I agree it was a last minute decision, a decision that seemed to make sense at the time and even more so now, after his debut.

Navas is a poor man's Pedro, in that their styles are similar but not much else, which is probably why City are after De Bruyne, and if they get him, they are going to take some stopping, by the looks of it.

Still, loads of time and this signing has given us a lot more cause for optimism.

I missed the game today but I've just watched Pedro on the MOTD highlights. I know it's only a highlight reel but he looks absolutely superb.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him. What a difference one signing makes!

Why he felt out with divas with big heads not the whole of spain, I've fell out with about 1000 English people being that I'm form England

I believe big Sam is correct on this one.

The lack of a goal scoring threat from the midfield bar Hazard coupled with shambolic defending from the pivot midfielders and dipping forms of Ivanovic and Cahill has forced Mourinho's hand.

Pedro's directness and eye for goal gives what Mourinho wants - an extra option on how his midfield cum attack can line up.

That defeat will turn out to be the blessing in disguise if Pedro keep his level up. Had we survived with a 1:1 that day, we probably would keep the team as it is, and keep sliding for the rest of the season. Yesterday was not a cold night at Stoke, but it's pretty touch wet condition for a player spent all his life in Sunny Spain. His directness just added a whole new dimension to our game. For a team that has so many good passers, we didn't  seem to put through balls behind defence as much as we should.

When the rumours of Pedro first surfaced I have to admit that I thought we were signing him purely as depth and to push for a spot ahead of Willian and co but watching him last night changed that! What a player he is!

Oscars injury almost came at a timely manner as Willian shifted to the centre and Pedro slotted right in but I couldn't have seen him starting if Oscar was fit...

The whole situation he was in at Barca and being second picking showed in hid game last night, he went out there to prove a point that he's good enough to be in our starting 11... and what a point he made!

f**king love how direct he is. Willian and Hazard take note. He also worked his socks off. What a debut! I had a feeling he might do well. Only one game but we made a good deal.

Doesn't he just. What a great debut.

This is why I got fed up arguing with folk over Cuadrado. Okay, all players are different and some will settle more quickly than others but it was plain to see that Cuadrado just didn't have it. I kept saying it over & over again, he should be showing SOMETHING - never mind all this bollocks of it's early days and give him time. What a difference with Pedro. If you have the quality, it will be evident to all.

Good post Nibs. We made all the excuses for Cuadrado same as for Torres. Truth is having trained for four days with the team with the same English issues Pedro smashed it.

Now lets not get ahead of ourselves. I'm sure we all remember Sheva's debut, but the signs are promising

Nibs, it's finally happened.

You were right.
