*Official* Pedro to Chelsea

Featured Replies

It is incredible how popular Pedro is at Barcelona - and how popular he has become at Chelsea after only a few weeks. Did the whole Barcelona family gather for Ronaldinho or Eto'o when they left?

I don't think it is just because Pedro worked hard on the pitch for Barca, he must also be a genuinely likeable character from what I've heard, who is always motivated and always wants his teammates to succeed. People like him - talented, hard working and humble - are not very common and we should consider ourselves lucky to have him onboard. Hopefully, this will also improve the relationship between Barca and Chelsea a bit.

Apparently he's not happy........

These things always come out when they go off for international duty./

Daily Express: Barcelona defender Dani Alves believes former team-mate Pedro (who by the looks of this pic can't get enough of being lectured by Ronaldo) should have stayed at the Nou Camp rather than join Chelsea.

According to the paper, Alves said: "I told Pedro he should have stayed at the team but too many people got involved.

"Had he stayed he would have been happy here but we don’t make the decisions. If we did I would want him to stay for years."

How do you take from that, that he isn't happy?

Alves is saying if he had stayed at Barca he could have been happy but Pedro left because he wanted regular first team football.

He wasn't happy playing constant 2nd fiddle to Suarez, Neymar and Messi... So basically Alves is chatting sh*t.

Come January when Turan is registered Pedro wouldn't have got a look in.

this

pedro didnt want to leave but had to in order to play football. he is more likely unhappy about having to leave the club he loves rather than being disgruntled with life at chelsea.

no club for him will ever match barcelona. he had to pick the best available option to ensure himself regular football throughout what should be his "peak" years.

this article is turd.

Oh come on surely you know when I'm trolling, maybe I should make it more obvious ?

yes please use <sarcasim> tags next time so we can recognize it

Must admit, slightly disappointed by Pedro. He started well and hasn't done much since. Hoping it's just because we're rubbish at the minute b

I said in the rumours chat that Pedro is good, just not great and that I didn't think he would take us up a level and he hasn't.

However, he has to be given time to improve as we have been horrible recently. Needs to be a little less aimless in my opinion.

Anyone else noticed he never looks in control of the ball even though he is? Strange dribbling technique.

To be fair to him we've been awful as a collective and the service that he and the other attacking players have received from Matic and Fabregas has been dog turd.

I think he's done okay all things considered, arguably our most direct attacking player and not shy of taking a shot.

Once our form (hopefully) improves I think he'll chalk up a respectable number of goals and assists this season.

How did he do yesterday, I've only seen the highlights on MOTD?

He was rather anonymous yesterday especially in the first half. He did get a little better in the second and had quite a few good runs and shots.

One thing I do like about him is that he can still track back and defend even when he wasn't having a good game.

Hopefully when our team starts to play better (and I believe it starts now), we can see him flourish in terms of goals and assists.

Hello. Sorry if I do not speak good English. I am a fan of Barca and Chelsea. I saw Pedro play many matches. He is a bad player. When he was 21 years no one knew him, he never went to the youth national teams, but he was lucky because Guardiola was his coach in the Barcelona B and then ascended through it. He has no vision,no precision of pass and he is not very intelligent with offensive moves and he only plays football backward. 23 goals is the best record of Pedro, but he played in the best Barcelona of history, with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta ... Its performance is bad in 80% of the matches, but he is a friend of Del Bosque and he plays with the spanish national football team because of him and because the spanish journalists also protect him, but there are many players better than him in Spain.

He can get some goals, but he only knows to run to defend, don´t expect much from him. I do not understand how Mourinho signed him, although when he was in the Real Madrid he plays with Arbeloa or Khedira and even he signed Altintop xD

Bad player is over the top, however a lot of what this guy says is true.

I never rated Pedro that much when he was at Barca. He was part of one of the best sides of all time but he's never been a world beater. I mentioned this in the rumours section when were going to sign him. I'm glad we did but he doesn't improve us and that's been confirmed.

He's good, just not amazing.

We missed the boat with Alexis, I'm afraid.
