October 3, 201510 yr Tough spot for him now. The team looked totally devoid of confidence today. Almost scared when pressured by Southampton. Players looked shadows of themselves. I'm sure Roman is considering sacking him purely as a circuit breaker. There appeared to be no plan really. At times it looked like we were playing without a midfield. Certainly confidence is everything and Jose is under great pressure to turn this around. That said for me it is crucial he stays. We have to move beyond this idea that if the team falters the manager is sacked. The individual players must be held accountable for their lack of effort otherwise we will continue on this endless merry go round. Edited October 3, 201510 yr by Spiller86
October 3, 201510 yr The better question is, who will take over ? I have read Klopp is ready for another job. He would surely be someone that Roman as an owner favours. I also think that it is not entirely Jose's fault, sure, he lost control, but there are some players who should not play for Chelsea anymore Edited October 3, 201510 yr by La Pulga
October 3, 201510 yr which thread is the main one? in the heat of the moment sometimes we can think irrationally, but if jose doesn't improve on this then surely he's going to be under serious pressure from the board. i suppose the blame can also fall at the board's feet due to holding back our spending, but with the players we have in the squad we should be in the top 4 right now, not 2nd half of the damn table. ridiculous! no matter how much the lower teams have improved, they don't have the quality we do and shouldn't be beating us with such bloody ease. if the results keep going this way, how long do we realistically give him to turn it around though? by xmas, with the way things are going, we could be struggling to get into the top 10 ffs! doesn't seem believable after last season. we are doing a f**king dortmund
October 3, 201510 yr We will bounce back. The pressure of retaining our title has gone. Once that sinks in, perhaps we'll play with a bit more freedom. Top four is now our aim. 30 games to play. It can't get any worse. Stick with Jose 100000%. Honestly, I cannot believe people are calling for his head. What do these people want from Football? Do they just go around the cycle supporting the most successful team? How can a title victory mean something if that's how these people support clubs? It must be a very hollow experience.
October 3, 201510 yr His backers must have lost their minds. You think fans would turn on him if he was at least attempting to change things? No, he refuses to change absolutely anything and we've become worse if anything. Didn't create a single chance today. Same against Porto. He has to go. We've been a terrible team since January & only won the League due to Hazard.
October 3, 201510 yr There is so much wrong at the moment, yes, Jose has to take a large amount of the blame for this but my god the players are just awful! It's not always just the manager's fault. The same people on here that are calling for the head of the best manager we've ever had 8 games into a season are the same people who call for stability. How can we ever have stability if we just get rid of every manager we have? Also, the funny thing is the people calling for Klopp seem to forget that he did the exact same thing at Dortmund! They were in the bottom few places for half of the season. This all being said, we need a change in philosophy, a change in players and an entirely different approach because it just isn't working. I have faith that Jose will make us great again. KTBFFH! Also, don't think that I'm making excuses for Jose or 'not questioning the regime' because I am, I'm just not jumping on the sack the manager bandwagon.

No, he refuses to change absolutely anything and we've become worse if anything. Didn't create a single chance today. Same against Porto. He has to go. We've been a terrible team since January & only won the League due to Hazard. Be fair, he has been changing things quite a lot. Terry and Zouma have been in and out, Matic, Mikel and Ramires have been swapped around. He has tried Willian, Pedro and Oscar, he also tried Falcao ahead of Remy today. So he has tried things, he's just not getting those decisions right. It's not the players that i think are the biggest problem, it's the tactics, they just aren't working anymore. I would love to see him change our formation and style with only a few players getting dropped. Edited October 3, 201510 yr by Scott Harris
October 3, 201510 yr to be fair to klopp, dortmund play some good football and get results too, and considering their side isn't full of superstars like ours is, that's a damn good feat tbh. i expect more from the quality we have at our disposal. i am torn on this because jose is so stubborn at the moment and his sticking point is his refusing to change players who aren't performing. we have some very good young players on the bench/in the squad who should be getting more game time, but his reluctance to play them is frustrating especially with the first teamers looking uninspiring right now. laying the blame on referees is something else that does nothing for us because decisions go for us just as much as any other team, so he needs to quit talking about ref decisions going against us all the time - it doesn't help our cause at all. his antics are starting to grate and the eva carneiro issue has just been the icing on the cake recently. The problem i have with the people asking for Klopp is that they will eventually be saying he should be sacked too. You can guarantee that these same Chelsea fans would be telling Klopp to f**k off out of the club like they are with Mourinho if we had a season like Dortmund had last season. It's an endless cycle with some fans. They say they want stability, but as soon as the club hits a bad run, they call for the manager to be sacked. October 3, 201510 yr Honestly, I cannot believe people are calling for his head. What do these people want from Football? Could it be that they're trying to save their beloved club season?? Sure I don't like his style but that's another debate.. At the moment he either has lost the dressing room or he's lost the plot.. either 1 is bad for the club, the season is still saveable, don't just throw it away..

October 3, 201510 yr Jose must STAY. We all moan like fu*k about the lack of stability at our club, so sacking Jose isn't an option as far as I'm concerned. He probably deserves it though because he has a lot to answer for. Team selection, substitutions etc. He needs to change things pretty quickly or we are in big big trouble. People say it's only October, it's only 8 games in. Well, if the next 8 are like the first 8 then we'll have 16 points nearing the halfway stage. Relegation is a big possibility.I believe it's possible because I don't think our squad is good enough. It reminds me of Brian Clough's Notts Forest back in the day.Everyone was saying they were too good to go down, guess what, they went down. So Jose needs to think about giving youth a chance because his "untouchables" aren't doing it.
October 3, 201510 yr January can't come soon enough we should have and NEED to recruit some new blood into the team we are far to predictable and just not good enough.
October 3, 201510 yr January can't come soon enough we should have and NEED to recruit some new blood into the team we are far to predictable and just not good enough. We're going to have to spend big and spend fast. The summer window was an embarassment, summed up by signing that Djilbobby and Hector who no-one has ever heard of of.

But he deserves time.

Forgot about Hector. I'm 100 per cent sure he wasn't a Jose signing. Jose also had no idea who Djillibotchjob was. If anyone should be sacked it should be Michael Emenalo for last Summer's transfer window. What a bloody fiasco thst was and we're paying the price for it now. If Jose is sacked and Emenalo is still at the club then Roman has lost all sense of reality.
