Can't see anything other than us losing 2-1, especially after a tough away match in the CL. Players will probably be dejected, let us pray.

This is the flashpoint game for Jose.

 

If he picks his favorites again and we lose he's a goner. Roman will pull the trigger and give Klopp a call, the compensation payout be damned.

That's my thinking, solidify the middle of the park again and let the attacking players play with a little more freedom

We really need to change our formation at the back, Terry must come back in the middle of three.

 

Wings are for attacking, not defending, we need to get some young pace running up and down them, as they say, the best form of defence is attack.

 

Matic's distribution from deep is terrible, RLC is already better than Matic in that department.

 

Remy to play up front with instructions to stay away from the wings and attack the 6 yard box, concentrate on getting on the end of balls coming in from the wings.

Ivanovic and Cesc are on the team sheet, every other spot is up to grabs. I have no idea what we will get this game, may as well stop watching if Ivanovic is selected again. Baba must be terrible in training for not even on the bench for some of the games, or is he really short? Jose favours tall defenders, just went too far.

Nothing's gonna change because Jose's made Ivan his new (untouchable) Captain ...

Therefore, the defence will continue to leak goals indefinitely ...

It is hard to know what the board are thinking at this point. They have certainly pulled the trigger with previous managers when things have looked far rosier than they do now. But this is Jose in charge and hopefully he will be afforded more time. I certainly would worry if we fail to pick up at least 4 points from our next 2 home games though. We really need a win against Saints. In Costa's absence I would go with:

However I will be shocked if we see anything like this. I expect a nervy game from our point of view with a few goals. Just hope we come up on the right side of the scoreline. Come on you Blues!

One thing i have learned this season is irregardless of who plays in the midfield, if Ivan plays RB we will concede goals! Every team in the world knows if they need to score against us, its very simple they just n)d to attach us from our right. If you try it the first time and it doesn't work, calm down and try again you will amazed at how easy it is get into our defence and have chances to shoot at Begovic, even Walsall tried it. They were just unfortunate not to have a good striker.

It's so painfully obvious that teams will just target our right side in every game yet Ivan is starting all the time.

 

I dare say that if Ivan starts this weekend, we won't win AT ALL.

 

It's fine if we were like the dippers in the 2013/2014 season where they conceded loads of goals but managed to outscore that deficit in most games. But we are not like them, our attackers do have that quality but they just aren't scoring.

 

Hopefully, Jose finally sees the light and change his lineup to something like this:

It's 4-3-3 time. This will bulk up the midfield and give us some stability so that we won't lose the midfield battle. RLC can also track back to help Baba as he is still raw to PL football.

 

No Cesc to slow down our play. No more clueless passes that the gooners always do outside the box. Just be DIRECT and get the ball into the box. 

 

Unfortunately, reality is always harsh and Jose will probably field this lineup:

Well if Ivanovic starts again.........I'd have to say Jose has something HUGE in mind. An evil masterplan that not even Darth Vader could get a sniff of. 

Stick Rambo in for Fabregas, Baba for Ivan.
