Cracking winner by Willian, and no less than we deserved for our effort and pressing.

 

However our attack needs a lot of work. As has been pointed out at the end there Costa, Hazard and Pedro all stood on the edge of the box when Willian got to the back line. Make a run two of you have only been on for 10 minutes!

 

Really enjoyed the game, overall was happy with most of what I saw.

 

Really star performers were the fans. You all take a bow you were magnificent.

Dont think tonight had/has any bearing on Jose.  I think Stoke is the big one, the more important one

Delighted with the win but not the performance.

But beggars cant be choosers, so I'll take it.

Not a great performance at all, important win though.

 

We really are struggling all over this season, we just can't move the ball around at all, and it's bringing a huge amount of pressure on the defense. As long as we keep giving the ball away, we will not improve.

 

Good result, but i'm not really convinced that we will improve any time soon.

 

Let's just hope the win raises morale a bit and raises the performances.

Feel a bit sorry for my heart, great to get a win though, fantastic free kick.

Finally we actually got some players getting wide and getting crosses in. Don't know why we hardly ever go it.

No disagreements from me, but there were several options on the bench to try and change it up but he did nothing

 

Which players could have done anything about their goal? That's what I'm asking people who think Mourinho was to blame for their goal. The only changes he could have made that would make any difference would be attacking changes. That doesn't suddenly make the back 4 and goalkeeper go from clumsy to composed. 

Willian is incredible. He's got to be up there as one of Jose's best signings.

Which players could have done anything about their goal? That's what I'm asking people who think Mourinho was to blame for their goal. I think the point we're making is that had Jose put RLC into midfield 10 minutes before, there may not have been a corner to score from - we might have managed to gain some momentum in the match and get back in control

 

anyway - we won, we can be happy for tonight at least

Players look shot of confidence. As does Jose. Lost our way second half. Took them to equalise before Jose made the necessary changes.

 

Willian saved the day but it was hard work against a poor side.

 

Still, a win’s a win and sometimes you just got to count your blessings.
