James Rodriguez

He's considerably slower than both those players though and we rely on speed on the counter at times. He is of course more skilful and clever than both Willian and Pedro but I'm not sure he'd be suited out wide in their positions.

I like James but he doesn't seem like someone who would be a prefect fit in our current system. Like the above I'd rather we spent on Veratti if we could spurge on a big name.

Have to disagree here, Chelsbear.

Willian is rapid however Pedro isn't. Pedro looks faster than he is due to the his running stance, his acceleration and dribbling is impressive but his top speed isn't that much higher than James.

Would not surprise me one bit if this happens. Jake Cohen also commenting on twitter now that when a player starts applying for a work visa its a clear sign negotiations are in advanced stages.

We'd be better off signing someone who could run behind and score. James is good no doubt, but he isn't what we really need right now more of a luxury signing. Better get someone like Sanchez or Griezmann who can run behind and score heaps with good workrate and could also dribble pretty well unlike James. I believe they wouldn't cost any much more than James's 75m?

Seems to me like we'd be spending 70m+ to get the Colombian Juan Mata.

James is miles ahead of Mata.

Griezmann is staying at Atletico and Arsenal won't sell us Sanchez so that's redundant.

More and more Columbian papers reporting he was at the embassy to apply for the visa.

Including AS.

I don't particularly like him, I don't think he is what the system needs and I don't think his attitude is right. But as said above, if Conte wants him, I trust his judgement.

It's really strange that people don't want a talent like him ... I. Can't really figure it out .

two months ago everybody wanted to get rid of Pedro and Willian was the first finisher of all time , now we are link with one of the best Talent offensive wide in the world and we don't  want him

And I still don't get the complaints about him costing to much money ... y'all ain't paying nothing !!!

if hazard is injured at least we have another "playmaker " on the field who can change the game by himself

really hope we get him !

PSG have signed Draxler so they are not going to be interested in James.

I think we can still win the league with what we've got, I'm not convinced by him and he could end up being another Pedro, good but not great yet more expensive.

We should wait then go all f**king balls out for Sanchez.

This appears to be very close to being done, quality player who will give us that creativity to open up parked buses, Costa will love having a player like James behind him also

Wholeheartedly agree.

He could be applying for the visa to go to United btw. I hope we don't spend anywhere near 75m for him. Luxury player IMO.

Also 100% agree with this. We badly need a player like Hazard who can score loads and run in behind defenders (and at them). One who can change the game in one moment like Hazard can. Sanchez would be PERFECT for this. A Hazard-Costa-Sanchez front 3 would put us in the class just behind Messi-Suarez-Neymar and Bale-Benzema-Ronaldo. That's a CL winning front 3 if you ask me. Sanchez's work rate will also fit this team like a glove.

I see no use for Rodriguez in this current formation. I don't know why we'd want to splash the Oscar money on him. That said, if we're getting him for around 30m (which is possible), I'd be less annoyed by the move. I guess he does give us an option to revert to other formations though. But still, he's not a consistent or even fairly consistent goal scorer. To me, he's a little more polished version of Oscar. I may be wrong on that as I haven't watched him in a while but I know he hasn't been a starter for Madrid since early in Benitez's spell. There's got to be a reason for that (may well be tactical but hey).

James Rodriguez getting an English visa. Seems like he's off to Chelsea, what a signing he will be for them.

James Rodriguez is free to leave Real Madrid and Chelsea is his preferred destination. [@MailSport] #cfc

This will he such a waste of money alla Torres Shev Kezman we simply don't needs him creativity wise he's not better than fab he lacks pace will get bullied as he needs time and space Cesc is adapted this guy will take a while we need someone else who can run in behind to strect defender's not another slow player

Given who is agent is.....maybe he'll end up at Utd.  Not sure where he fits in here other than a better squad player..and why would he become a squad player here than Real?  Can't see Willian or Pedro leaving, as I can't see Conte breaking up a winning squad and upset the balance.

I reckon it will be difficult to integrate a starting player into our winning team in January, this type of marquee signing is really for Summer window with a full pre-season camp. Unless Madrid agrees to a short term loan deal, we probably should't risk breaking up a winning team just to integrate James in. The guy has quality, but likely have an attitude problem too if Real is so keen to get rid of him.
