January 6, 201610 yr BT I'm afraid, more surprised that the game with Everton next week isn't on at all. Your surprised that the 3 o'clock game isn't on at all?
January 6, 201610 yr Begovic Ivan Zouma. Cahill. Baba. Mikel Fab Willian. RLC. Pedro Costa Give Dave and JT a rest if possible (depends if Cahill fit). Look to give Willian a rest for second half if we can get a couple in first - bringing Kenedy on for him and switching Pedro to right. Hopefully also give Traore or Bamford 20-30 mins too. If close would go other way, Oscar on for RLC. Personally I wouldn't mind a less conservative approach and play 3 or 4 young fresh faces from start but given our league position would expect most of first team will start (I have Ivan in because I think it's a good game to rest Dave). Surely a nice cruisy 4-0. Come on you Blues. Edited January 6, 201610 yr by mickydroysleftpeg
January 6, 201610 yr Remy is leaving? Is that confirmed or still speculation? Speculation. I read in Paper Talk today that Remy is "expected to stay at Chelsea". Though that in itself is speculation....
January 6, 201610 yr Really like this lineup! Chelsea 2.0 That formation for me as well, if that bunch of players can't beat sc**thope they either don't have the ability or desire required
January 6, 201610 yr BT I'm afraid, more surprised that the game with Everton next week isn't on at all. Though, I'm glad it's not. I love a 3 o'clock KO - especially when I'm going which I am.
January 6, 201610 yr Your surprised that the 3 o'clock game isn't on at all? I think more like he is surprised it hasn't been moved for tv.
January 6, 201610 yr All I want to see is youth and win. Begovic Aina Zouma Djilobodji Baba Fabregas Mikel Willian Loftus-Cheek Traore Remy COME ON CHELS!!!
January 6, 201610 yr No after the debacle of last year we need to start with a strong team and put the game to bed before we think about bringing the youngsters on...
January 6, 201610 yr As others have said a full team of youth players isn't necessary, but seeing Loftus-Cheek, Rahman and Kenedy would be nice.
January 6, 201610 yr Your surprised that the 3 o'clock game isn't on at all? I think he might have meant the west brom game, evening kick off midweek and it's not on TV.
January 6, 201610 yr Begovic Azpi Cahill Zouma Baba Mikel Ramires RLC Traore Remy Kenedy Edited January 6, 201610 yr by romansoldier1981
January 6, 201610 yr Speculation. I read in Paper Talk today that Remy is "expected to stay at Chelsea". Though that in itself is speculation.... Speculation upon speculation, that's what the transfer windows always are. The way I see it: Remy is our player, until I hear otherwise. I think we may see REmy start, unless he is still injured.
January 6, 201610 yr play the entire first team and hammer them 14-0...will do a world of good for confidence
January 7, 201610 yr I think we will see half the team against Palace. Last year we made a few changes for the corresponding FA cup match and got hammered. Hiddink is here to win games, he won't take much risks and get knocked out early.
January 7, 201610 yr Uncle Guus had fun at wembley in his last tenure, cigar going, bopping around the dressing room, think he wants some more so don't expect wholesale changes, especially as its the only realistic chance of a trophy this season the senior fringe players will get a game - Begovic, Baba, Rambo but we shall see if any youth prospects will start or make the bench, I hope 3 or 4 do (2 start 2 on bench perhaps) as to the match, cant see them doing more than having a good day out in the capital really, Chelsea should win comfortably whatever team Guus puts out Edited January 7, 201610 yr by General
January 7, 201610 yr That's mine. (Interestingly, exactly half of the outfield players are left footed.) Ah. Just remembered Djilobodji. Cahill and Papy in central defence instead of Zouma. Edited January 7, 201610 yr by GhostOfDembaPast
January 7, 201610 yr Azpilicueta will need to wear a mask if he does play...got a double cheekbone fracture against Palace...Fraser kicked in the head in the 3rd minute but like a true blue warrior he played on for the full 90 minutes...
January 7, 201610 yr Terry, mikel, Costa, cesc and tibo to get a rest. Hazard I guess will be doubtful. I'll go for: Bego Ivan Cahill Zouma Baba Matic Ruben Willian Rami Kennedy Remy (if fit) I'd love to see traore get a game but can't see it.
January 7, 201610 yr We need to put our Strongest team out and score as many goals as possible to cheer us all up ! Simples !
January 8, 201610 yr We should win this 3 nil Begovic Aina Zouma Cahill Baba RLC Ramires Traore Oscar Kenedy Remy
January 8, 201610 yr Admit to knowing nothing about our FA Cup opposition. Ian Botham played for them in 1983 (for a few games) and wore a home strip for a Nike football boot advert about then. Sad that I remember that
January 8, 201610 yr Azpilicueta will need to wear a mask if he does play...got a double cheekbone fracture against Palace...Fraser kicked in the head in the 3rd minute but like a true blue warrior he played on for the full 90 minutes... What is with it and our players needing that mask ? Matic, Cahill and now Azpilicueta so far this season Torres, Fabregas, Cahill again, Terry, Ba, Cech, all in recent season's. I think a broken nose or cheekbone is a guarantee for our players at some point in the season these days.
January 8, 201610 yr Guus' presser ahead of Sc**thorpe. He is a lot more pleasant than Jose. He answers honestly, and without any sort of Vitriol. For example, the "bust up" he addressed well, and talked about how it was resolved, and how it is a sign of intensity. I think that Jose would have told the press to mind their business and then the press would have made more out of it than was needed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhcjDt38rYY Edited January 8, 201610 yr by mad_mac
