January 16, 201610 yr John Terry was offside and the goal was almost a minute after the designated added time. A) There is some justice there after the Liverpool goal earlier in the season, but B) please let this stop the stupid conspiracy theories as the added time is just a MINIMUM so all the talk after the Coutinho goal was just bollocks. January 16, 201610 yr 1 point is so much more than we deserve, epic match! Epic celebration from JT with the fans as well
January 16, 201610 yr WTF?!? I wasn't able to watch this and following the goals as they went in made for a crazy sounding game. Terry 98 mins?!?
January 16, 201610 yr Well, they pulled it up and out. Parts of second half hopeful. No points lost. Could have been worse. Blues!!!!!!!!!!
January 16, 201610 yr What a spirited comeback. PROUD of that display (from 0-2 onwards - prior to that it was dire!).
January 16, 201610 yr I'm absolutely delighted that smug rat Martinez will be seething about the goal
January 16, 201610 yr What a comeback, not something I would have seen us doing under Jose. Great result in the end.
January 16, 201610 yr Never mind....jeeeezzz...that was lucky. Ref had 2 or 3 opportunities to blow for FT after the 7min elapsed. lucky edit: and offside by a margin too It was well past seven minutes, and an offside, but in the midst of everything going on this season I'll celebrate every good moment like a cup final pretty much. Not to draw any attention away from our performance, which was dire for at least 50 minutes and needs a lot of improvement for the Arsenal game, but I'll savour every last bit of this.
January 16, 201610 yr Bit of a JT magic and a good linesman got us a point, unfortunately just not good enough to get us where we wanted. I'm still fuming about the third goal, how the f* everyone just went sleep when the cross come in? It's naïve, stupid and unforgiveable. Somehow Hiddink remained unbeaten so far, just his lucky charm, Jose's team would have lost 1:4 today
January 16, 201610 yr You'd have to be furious if you were an Everton supporter. We've had a lot go against us but that was a gift from the ref. Great to get a point in the end but some serious structural deficiencies in our side.
January 16, 201610 yr great game of football, we should have won it when momentum was on but c**ts slowed it down with the injury then Zouma and Ivanovich had brain freez for their 3rd goal. Thanks god for the offside goal. flashes of brilliance were there just need to continue with no lapse of concentration .
January 16, 201610 yr Confirmed this was 3-3?! I have people saying it was offside?! Very 3-3, very off side, very counting :-)
January 16, 201610 yr At least it's a point but f**king hell, don't think for a second that we ain't in a relegation fight, we are horrendous in defense. Ivanovic, Matic, Pedro, they can't start anymore games for a while. Get Azpilicueta at RB, either buy a LB or play Rahman there, play Kenedy LW until Hazard returns and play Oscar / RLC behind the striker. Don't set up defensively anymore, right from the start we have to attack. We have 16 games left, we will pick up more wins than losses playing attacking football.
January 16, 201610 yr A good comeback, but how can anyone expect us to get anywhere with this defence, it's the worst back four since I've been born and still no signings. Edited January 16, 201610 yr by Floyd25
January 16, 201610 yr Credit to the ref. Eight minutes of injury time, Terry clear offside. Nice finish though. Second half was more fun than the first. Time for a lie down.
January 16, 201610 yr what does Guus learn from that? 1) there is a bit of fight in this team 2) don't set us up with Matic in DM, play Oscar with Mikel 3) get Cesc off after an hour he's always knackered 4) play Kenedy 5) play Baba and put Dave at RB 6) just tell them to go out there and score lots
