That’s the point though—I want the Conte who didn’t care about that, back managing the club.

Hopefully Conte will have learnt a lesson from yesterday - It’s always better to make substitutes earlier than 80 mins.

Do we really have to add Rudiger (one of the few bright sparks of this season) to the scrap heap of players Conte has fallen out with?

Conte is clearly starting to be more of a hindrance than a help to the club now; if we sacrifice having Rudiger from our plans in the FA Cup games just because Conte is a petulant little bitch then I struggle to see how anyone could defend him anymore. 

I’d rather keep Rudiger than Conte tbh.

He sat Christensen the game before and this time Rudiger sits so Cahill can get some minutes who has desires to play for England.

I thought the team wouldn't play for Conte anymore? Seems they would enough to comeback from 2-0 down. 

And pretty sure Rudiger and Conte are fine. Cahill has been on the bench a lot recently before West Ham and Conte is giving him a start. Christensen was also on the bench before this match.

I have never personally said the team aren't playing for Conte. 

Let's hope you are right. Seems strange he was dropped from the match day squad, as opposed to being on the bench.

Actually, looks like it was a discipline related issue based on this article. 

Rudiger must have done something or said something to have Conte axe him. Possibly because he questioned tactics publicly.

No, we changed to 4-2-4 formation. 

Dave - Christensen - Cahill - Alonso

Kante - Fabregas

Willian - Giroud - Hazard - Pedro

 

Pedro wasn't anywhere near the right wing-back position when he came, he was over on the left. After our third goal, that's when Conte switched back to 3-4-3 with Moses coming on to play right wing-back, though it was more like a flat back 5 because we gave up pressing forward at that point.

Giroud was for Morata though.

I think Conte needs to go with Giroud for the rest of the season. He's more prepared for EPL physicality and fits in better with Hazard and Willian.

This is the concern. 

Yet another fall out, with one of our better performing players, is literally the last thing we need from our 'Manager' right now. 

Would be excellent and most surprising if Conte stayed on after this term. Some continuity would do good. Just need a good summer.

We always hear that we should keep managers on for the sake of stability/continuity, but what Conte's been doing in recent months has been as far from stability as it's possible to get!!!

Conte is one of the best managers in the world. If he had a summer he wanted in terms of transfers we are very well in contention to winning the Prem. Any other manager we reel in will be a risk.

I might be in the minority but I want him gone, I have had enough of his antics, we went through with it all with  jose, and this year has got me down.

Even if he has a summer he wants this summer and has us challenging again, he'd be just another meh summer from kicking off sh*t again so really what is the point? The reality is the way Conte has behaved these last few months, keeping him will be just as big a 'risk' as any appointment we can make to replace him right now. Infact i would say our safest bet would be appointing Allegri.

He is not one of the best managers. There will be loads of job openings this summer with Bayern, PSG, and possibly Arsenal, Juve, Milan & Inter all looking for a new manager but I doubt any of these clubs will touch him. His antics this season might see him sitting out for a year.
