Every time he opens his mouth I feel more embarrassed at how I defended this man, seems to have an issue with the board everywhere he goes.

This is after he's been backed to the absolute hilt aswell. €200m (€270m if he activates his options to buy) worth of players most recent of which one of the worlds best wingbacks born to play in his system.

He's going to ruin what could have been an unbelievable career and he'll have no one to blame but himself (although it won't be for the want of trying).

Mourinho 2.0

I actually think he's much worse than Mourinho behaviour wise. Jose has his faults but some of Conte's actions (like going AWOL from the club for 2 weeks) is next level.

Jose gets a bit grumpy and passive agressive if he has a poor transfer window and results go south, Conte is capable of starting a war in an empty box room.

There are some reports saying that Messi bought a house in Milano, the rumor of Conte signing Messi grows...

In fairness you could live in Milan and still play for Barcelona quite easily.

Or just wanting to be out of Barcelona when the proverbial hits the fan, a few stories surfacing that Messi effectively picks the team. In their current predicament could be a wise move irrespective of any Italian Club interest.

you can't beat Conte's passion though. I loved that bit

If only he was passionate away from the pitch. Him being a miserable prick in every press conference eventually out weighed his madness on the sidelines.

Despite his character flaws, I find it very difficult to dislike him.

One of my favourite managers along with Mourinho.

I still have huge respect and love for Conte.

Okay, he fell out with the powers that be but I love how he got what Chelsea was all about and unlike Mourinho, he never turned on us supporters.

It's hard to like Conte with how badly he behaved the next season, first season he really was a hero and accelerated to Jose levels with his passion and fire, the next it was awful.

For me, it's Jose then Carlo when it comes to my favourite managers, then of course Conte.

I'm hoping Frank becomes number 1.

Maybe not directly but he jacked it in while still on our payroll which in my book is disrespecting the fans especially the one's who went to any of those games (City away the most).

Exactly, I dont see how anyone can be happy with his final season with us, he basically threw it in and acted like a whiney little prick at every opportunity, disparaging the players and board/owner. f**k him.

But.. but... he was swinging from the dugout ever so engagingly!

Well to be fair he believed that we didn't have the players to play in any other way, Jose might not had been in such a disagreement with the board while he was at the club but he was really in a huge disagreement with the squad, something that Conte never really was, everyone worked for Conte but not for Jose.

Nobody comes close to the disgraceful behavior that Jose had towards the club ever since he left, Conte on the other hand has said only positive things about Frank Lampard being the manager and I doubt that he would ever stoop to Jose's level if we ever play his team.

Conte did make big mistakes with his signings and he did openly talk against the board, he is doing similar things now in Inter, but make no mistake he was a real lion of Chelsea, at the time when we needed a comeback he made it happen which makes him a real hero and he made sure that his goodbye would be with a trophy, that makes him a really unique figure.

Conte was excellent when on song and motivated, which makes what happened in the last 5 months even worse. The fact he turned it back on like a tap when the cup games came around (in other words a chance to boost his CV) makes it all the more harder to accept.

He was by all accounts doing the same thing during the whole season, with the same intensity. The FA Cup final was no different, he played his same tactic and counted on a counter attack with Hazard and it worked. I believe that personally it was him proving to the board that he can still win and that his way isn't a wrong one.
