June 4, 20215 yr The thing with Spurs is how their fan base and squad will react to Conte. We saw with Mourinho the feeling was bad they sacked him on the eve of a cup final. I think Conte will improve them yet their fans have this idea of how the game should be played and might cause problems.
June 4, 20215 yr Premier League will be good next season. Although I would expect Conte to find it much tougher this time around. Not taking anything away from his league win with us, but City and Liverpool were not what they've been in the past couple seasons. Man Utd will strengthen too. As will we. Although he does have the top scorer in the league at his disposal, along with the type of players he'll like in Heung Min Son. It will be interesting.
June 4, 20215 yr Deals off, Conte not going to Spurs. Phew. Apparently Conte refused to work with the younger players. Not sure where Spurs go from here. Martinez maybe after the Euros? Really can’t think of anyone else.

June 4, 20215 yr Good news, but this is the strangest rumour I've heard in a while to be fair, Spurs and Conte, I don't know... He is a true winner, they are the Spuds bottlers, the trophy dodgers, I mean from Serie A winner, to PL winner, to Serie A winner again and then Spurs?! Of course he has doubts over the competitivness of that squad, they are not called Spursy for no reason, they are sh*te, f**k Spurs. Howe, Nuno ES, some washed up French manager, that's their level, not Conte...
June 5, 20215 yr Manager in 'not interested in Tottenham' shocker. How many is that now? Nagelsmann, Ten Hag, Allegri, Rodgers, Marsch, Nuno, now Conte. Well he's the best manager to have rejected them yet I suppose. To be honest this might be for Tottenham's benefit too. They've managed to go through what the entire 'Conte at Tottenham' arc would have been without the bother of having to pay him any money: initially impressive, fails to win anything, pulls out acrimoniously over lack of transfer ambition, lumbers them with a load of crap £30m signings on huge contracts. (Although bear in mind that we are talking about a club who got to their first ever European Cup final and started Moussa Sissoko). Scotty Parker - time to fulfil your destiny.
June 5, 20215 yr The biggest take from this is that ENIC and Levy aren’t changing their transfer policies. They will continue to prioritise profits over on field success. The down side to this is that Kane will now almost certainly end up at City next year. Seeing how Arsenal and Spurs are run reminds me how grateful I am that Roman is our owner.

June 5, 20215 yr I always thought Eddie Howe would be a good fit for Spurs. I know he’s not a glamorous manager like Jose, Conte that Spurs desire but thought he could do well there.
June 5, 20215 yr Quote from Conte: I'm not the right man for Spurs I just don't know how to polish a turd.
June 5, 20215 yr Levy basically demonstrating his complete lack of ambition ... they really need rid of that little runt if they actually want to win anything ... or rather they really need to keep him in perpetuity 🙂
June 5, 20215 yr So where does this leave Conte I wonder ? Not many big jobs still available .... certainly not in England or Italy anyway ... Everton perhaps ? Their owner has some ambition ...

Their owner has some ambition ... That is an interesting shout with Everton, don't think he will go there though if the Toffees could give him a budget that could prove fruitful. I also wondered if Rogers could be swayed by the money now that Vardy is getting older and if then Conte might go to Leicester. With Conte, he wants to be a serial winner so if there is not a sizable war chest he will take a year out or Coach the Italian national side.

June 5, 20215 yr Conte joining Tottenham sounded ridiculous from the start, but this is the most Tottenham thing that could have happened.

Their owner has some ambition ... Way too high maintenance considering he can’t hack it in Europe. Signed 24 players in 2yrs at Inter and was demanding new people players again. Most big clubs would be wary of going near him, as big club means fat contract for players & manager alike.
