Kompany thinks City have progresses since last season.......i don't know how he has come to that conclusion. They aren't as good defensively and they aren't as clinical. They are fighting for top 4, they went out of the Champions League a round earlier than last season and are going to end the season without a trophy. I don't see anything that shows that they have progressed as a team.

Incredible to think that Liverpool haven't lost against the top 6 yet are nowhere to be seen in the Title run-in.

On another note Mourinho's bus was parked very well tonight. This bodes well ahead of their upcoming trip to WHL.

Interesting comments from Slippy G in an interview.

“There is a showboating mentality through academies,” claims Gerrard. “My teams will be physical.”

“We work on 50-50s,” Gerrard jokes. “As a player I got many, many tackles wrong and went over the top a few times and I had to apologise. That is not something I want to put into young players at all but you have to prepare them for the top level and the top level is physical and demanding. It is not just about tackles and competing. It is about trying to prepare them for the last five or 10 minutes of games when it is hard and your legs are burning and your heart is burning and it is not a nice place to be in as a player. You have to get them to be mentally strong to be prepared for that.

“There is a showboating mentality through academies. A lot of kids think they have to do 10 lollipops or Cruyff turns to look good or stand out. We all love a bit of skill and talent but the other side of the game is huge."

Maybe it [showboating] comes from computer games, I don’t know. There are a lot of skilful players that young players try and emulate – probably too much instead of playing to their own strengths. They try and model their game on players like Ronaldo whereas you have to look at yourself and say: ‘What have I got? What are my strengths? How can I improve my weaknesses and become a player in my own right?’”

Jose showed tonight the only way spurs will beat his side is if he wants them to or the refs screws them over. No one better at setting his team out to not lose a game against a big opponent.

So hopefully Jose wants something out of that match.

Didn't you see him before the injury?

To be honest I thought people were going massively overboard. He put in a few good performances, scored a few goals. But it's way too early to make any judgements really.

I think United will nick third come the end of the season. Liverpool and Arsenal to miss out on the Top 4 I reckon.

Liverpool have a relatively easy fixture run in on paper, Watford/West Ham/Southampton/Middlesbrough, all games they'll be expected to win - City/United have a game in hand however so perhaps it will go to the final day. Personally hope United nick it, would prefer Arsenal/Spurs to miss out but won't complain if it's Arsenal/Liverpool :laugh2:

Fair enough, yeah was only an initial assement based on his performances in the EPL can't say I've watched much Brazilian football in the last few years, but based on what I've seen I'd say he's going to be the next big think along with mbape (spelling?) of Monaco.
Hopefully our own Tammy or bertie can get some game time as I see no reason they cannot reach such levels!

I've noticed many United fans predicting Spurs to finish above us. Did I miss something recently? Why are United and Spurs fans suddenly so in love with each other?

utd fans have a stick up their arse over that fa cup game. ever since then they've had it against us.

Finally another PL goal, Sunderland 0 Bournemouth 1. That's Sunderland officially down then.

sunderland and west brom got beat. if we struggle against either of those it will be disappointing.

Playoff teams in the Championship confirmed, Leeds miss out ha ha

I have to admit, I wouldn't have minded renewing the rivalry, it would have been spicy. Same old Leeds though, bottling it again.

Just now, Scott Harris said:

Typical Crystal Palace fans. Every time a team scores against their team, they are throwing things on the pitch. This time they have hit a player with a lighter.

Idiots, I can't remember who we were playing when someone threw a coin at Drogba, so he threw it back at them and gave them the finger haha.
