Hull Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 01/10/ 2016 KO 15:00 GMT

It feels like one of those games where we create next to nothing, don't score, and then concede on a counter or a set piece

We look better all be it against a much worse side than the previous 2 games.

Moses is frustrating. Head down, loose passes, no end product.

Not really looked like creating anything from open play, hopefully nick a goal from a set piece.

Azpiliucueta looks comfortable as a right sided centre back in a 3, which is promising moving forward.

No one has actually played badly, I think this system works for us but its going to take getting used to we have played the same formation for years, once we get more fluid and JT and Zouma back we should be fine, my issue is the stop and start and less direct play than we saw start of the season, the one problem we weren't having is scoring, this reminds me of the days we couldn't buy a goal, the transition and inter play is off.

Wish someone would just shoot when they have space outside the box, instead of overplaying it.

We give defences too much time to settle. We overthink things. Sometimes it's just better to have a shot on goal than wait to play a pass 5 seconds too late.

Frustrating. The shape looks OK and we're getting a lot of possession - but poor passing and then overplaying in the opposition's box is leading to pretty constipated stuff. Crying out for Cesc.

Azpi had like 2-3 poor passes that lead to a Hull attack. I mean could be better but needs time.

More industrious than recent matches. Since the tenth minute we've dominated possession without really looking dangerous - our passing is atrocious at times. Good displays by the new boys - Moses and Alonso. All in all we look ordinary.

Pedestrian so far, but a clean sheet which is exactly what I think Conte has told the players to focus on by the way. Makes it a bit easier to win games ;). Thank god for Tibo pushing that one over the bar, I had it sailing in!!

Two issues just to be pedantic.

1) Too many stray passes. I will put it down to the new system, but it does not look good. Still vulnerable to a long ball in defence which really needs sorting out. Luiz can outrun that big lump any day of the week, so why take chances? Drop off, let Cahill deal with in the air.

2) Question: How do you nullify Chelsea's attack. Answer: Push them out wide. We have nothing when we cross, absolutely nothing. It's too easy, we need to work on some better options. Obviously, it is the consequence of not having Fabregas on the field.

Other than that ... good to see us outnumbering them in midfield. Kante is doing well.  Alonso doing decently too, although I don't fancy him making any dangerous crosses either. We need to get Hazard on the half-turn.

We need Fabregas and Batman to come on. Creativity is missing. Rectify it, Mr Conte.

I think Bats has been one of the positives this season, link up play with Diego seems good, can't understand benching him.
