Chelsea Vs Man Utd (PL) Sun 23/10 2016 KO 16:00 GMT

Huge opportunity for us to emerge as a serious threat for the title and to overcome a fellow contender, especially after other results went in our favour over the weekend.

Come on boys! Give everything you've got on the field today!

Absolutely bricking it for this one, a win would be a brilliant statement of intent and would be a great way of taking advantage of three of the four teams ahead of us dropping points to go within a point of top. That said, we know exactly who we're up against and what he's capable of, especially with a squad as talented as the one Man Utd have. Anything could happen, I reckon a score draw though.

i am not feeling incredibly confident. i have a niggling feeling that our recent performances have been more down to the opposition not performing well. i still worry that the win vs leicester has masked our frailties. then on top of that all the jose returning stuff, it feels like more of a task to beat utd. i think this will be down to which set of players want it more, and which manager is the more tactically smart; mourinho has proved over his career that he has great tactical nous. i really hope i am wrong!

haha united forum is happy that Oscar is not playing, if they would know....

also they say we look pretty average ;)

and they have just won one match since 10years or so at the bridge.

Really hope it's not another tepid display against a big club. We need a big performance.

Yeah, fully agree.

Need this win and think it will propel us to be successful this season if we get this.

Come on CHELSEA!

Well this is Mourinho now in charge so different perspective. Arsenal had not scored against us let alone beat us for a few years before last month but looks what happened. I will be annoyed if we don't win this though. Our last game was on Saturday. Since then United have had 2 games. Hopefully advantage swings our way. I hope Hazard stands up in this big game and makes the difference.

If we can win the midfield battles we have a chance, that's where they look strongest. Everyone has to be at their best to get a win.  If Jose parks the bus it will down to Hazard and Costa to cause the damage. I'll take a narrow victory.

Hope it's not a Mourinho type game where we look strong but they nick a scrappy goal but then defend pretty well after

Am I the only one who feels like a team which will sit back will suit us? All the pundits and most fans think Man Utd will just sit back -- I would of thought Mourinho knows how vulnerable we are to intensity.

If they do sit back, I think we are capable of winning and most likely to do so.

I think the pundits giving us the win are just thinking about pool-mu game. Has nothing to do with this game. Jose loves to get an away draw when he sees the other team playing better than them. Don't they ever learn...
