January 5, 20179 yr Not a good performance but it ain't the worse.. however, the mentality/attitude by most players suck big time.. totally lacking belief to make a comeback, somewhat subdued and half given up attitude.. That's really difficult to take especially against spurs... Even a draw is not good enough against this lot so being beaten fair and square is pisstaking feeling for me.. The only positives from the game is the subs, it's spot on!! Alonso is average and unfortunately it's gonna remain that way for quite some time.. Moses, for me, was more of a fault for both of their goals but in his defence, probably he's not a defender so doesn't have that defending instinct but I think he's just not that focused.. Kante is a quality player but his worst performance were actualy in both of these spurs games and that's difficult to swallow... I'd like to think the subs were too late but the general fighting spirit was really lacking in the game so I'm not sure if it's gonna make a difference.. Conte didn't have an answer in the game tactic to counter spurs gameplan and that played a part in our downfall.. The players seemed to have lost belief during the game..
January 5, 20179 yr I think, in an ideal world for conte, that Alonso and Moses would be his back up wing backs. If he can find someone to develop from our youth players or make the right signings that is where they will end up being. Or Dave may take one spot if he can adapt once again to another new role. It will be interesting to see how we bounce back. The last time we lost a game in the league, we lost the next one as well. The foxes may be struggling but I expect a difficult game there. It is imperative we win the next two to go in to the Liverpool and arsenal double header with that 5 point cushion a minimum if we are to have a good shot at staying top. We lost this game, and for me, Liverpool are a step above Spurs so that game is going to be really hard. Edited January 5, 20179 yr by axman2526

Liverpool are great when everyone is fit and in form but they will always leak goals and don't have a great keeper so can be got at. Spurs were strong all over the pitch yesterday with the exception of Kane and they don't look like conceding many goals. I think all of the top 6 are capable of beating each other and that is what has happened up to now so all will take points off each other. We got points of Utd Spurs & City but have now dropped against the other 3, so it is vital not to lose to the gooners or the dippers in the returns.
January 5, 20179 yr HATE IT.....Spuds beat us....WHL sounded loud and triumphant...VERY VERY SAD NIGHT....Still upwards and onwards to another 13 games undefeated.....All over the place how our lot are so sh*t we walk down tott high road late to get a police escort.....Someone peel a spud
January 5, 20179 yr Disappointing night and I hate the fact that Tottenham of all teams ended our winning run, but we shouldn't panic. We still have a five-point lead at the top and provided we don't drop our bundle I can't see why this isn't a small blip more than anything else.
January 5, 20179 yr Is Pedro at left wingback something to try? He was pretty threatening when he went there. Perhaps something new for Conte to ponder.

January 5, 20179 yr Barcelona need to come and get Poch as their new manager so we can all go back to laughing at Spurs again. Enjoy your new game while it lasts c**ts

January 5, 20179 yr Was working the other morning and when i glanced up there it was, a cockerel weather vane on top of a house, the highest thing around. I just knew instantly that it was a bad omen and try as i might i could not blot it out with positiveness. The next game is very important.
January 5, 20179 yr Should have gone to the zoo and seen the lions. I blame you entirely for this defeat.
January 5, 20179 yr Despite the lose, the positives: Forget about the 13 wins, this is only Conte's 20th game, with a team that's dominated by players from last year. Just imagine he could sign the players he wanted in the next 12 months, we'd be a really scary team. Spurs will be on the slide after the performance of their season, they did that after beating City at the start of the season. Arsenal is officially fighting for the 4h spot. Everyone got that sh1t game out of the way, I'd amazed if we don't show up with a complete different attitude next weekend. 2 seasons ago we lost at WHL around this time, ended up winning the league.

January 6, 20179 yr Looking at our next 10 fixtures before City again, nine of them are should wins. If we can pull that off plus a draw at Anfield that would leave us 77 points after 30 games going into the tough run in. It won't be easy but with Conte's league mentality i certainly believe its possible. Edited January 6, 20179 yr by Argo

Was poor on Wednesday but had a good game against Stoke. 1 assist which should have been 2 if Costa converted that chance. Against Bournemouth, him and Pedro were the standout performers. Both of them were brilliant. Against Palace again, he once had a very good game and was a class above.

"engineers tweak the car's operating systems during the race" Lost in translation I guess. I would say tweaking the squad would mean changing it by addition or subtraction since the squad refers to 25 players rather than the 11 who start There IS an entire thread in the rumors section called 'what do we need to tweak this squad' so you can see where my confusion comes from Edited January 6, 20179 yr by TheChelseaBlues
January 6, 20179 yr DKW was being sarcastic STATS.Anyway this game is ancient history now although those tossers will milk it for all its worth (dvd, open top bus parade etc)f**k em they will finish below us and Dili Dali will play alongside Bale at RM.You could see the pound sign in Levys eyes.
January 6, 20179 yr How bad was Hazard??? Him and later on Costa could've easily put us 1-0 up. We lost to two soft headers and no killer instinct up top.

Actually not that bad compared to some of his team mates. But he has set himself very high standards and should certainly have done better with the 2 chances.
January 6, 20179 yr This game felt like the first match they played in Shaolin Soccer the movie if you know what I mean (the one against the team with wrenches and spanners).
