Usain Bolt isn't fast it's relative to human limitations and humans aren't fast, now if he was a cheetah he would be fast, but thats only relative to biological organisms which lets be honest compared to space rockets are pretty bloody slow, it's all relative of course.

That is more than I said. It is a relative award in that it only means 'better' than the rest. That could mean they were all great and the winner was outstanding, it could mean all candidates were crap and the winner was less bad than the rest, or something in between.

That's a simple statement of the truth. To have been chosen the winner of an award among a reasonably small group does not necessarily make a statement about your finite quality. It only means better than the rest. At least it means that if the award was well chosen. If it wasn't well chosen, as sometimes happens, then it doesn't even mean that.

So he was better than all young players in Europe, not bad that. I think that's what best means, better than everyone else, no need to redefine it. To get in to a first team, you're better than all young players in your country that didn't, to win the competition, you're in a team better than all the other teams that have young players,, then to be selected as the best of the tournament, means he was the best of the most elite young players in Europe, that's not a small group, that's the end of a long vetting process that saw him excel tens of thousands of young professional football players. It's not like there were loads of better young players that decided not to bother to play in the tournament because they were doing more important things.  

By saying he isn't good just better than the rest is saying every young player in Europe is crap because has excelled them all at that point by virtue of his achievement yet he is not good..in your opinion of course. What a way to start in a new forum, you're not discussing your point anymore you're just being pedantic at this point, juggling terms, looking for loops, trying to redefine established logic to suit your naritive again at the detriment in knowledge of all the football experts who voted for him and the scouts at one of Europes best clubs who saw that same talent and bought him.

Is he the best young player in Europe, maybe not, certainly not, but he excelled them all at that tournament, so to say he had bad tournament is just stupid and to carry it on this much trying to outsmart everyone is almost patronising

I still think if we wanted we could lease Sanches. I.e. buy him but give Bayern a buyback option. Alternatively take him on loan.

 

Reading between the lines of Bayerns statements that seems to be the message. We still need more depth in central midfield.

I'd look for a loan to buy arrangement in the same mould as Rodriguez...

I would rather go for goretzka. Sanches is very similar to kante and bakayoko, goretzka would be a nice option. 

Bayern are looking to replace sanches with goretzka themselves, maybe if acted fast we could jump the queue. He would be relatively cheap with only a year left on his contract.

I think we can pull off a loan with the option to buy. If he can't hack it here then we can send him back to Bayern.

 Oils do buy if he develops well enough for us to want to buy him Bayern will probably say cheers and want him back, good CM's are in short supply

I'd take him. If he doesn't become world class like he was supposed to, then he'd still be a useful squad player like Ramires was for us. 

yeah doesn't make sense why bayern would let him go. anybody watched bayern games to comment on him? where's the resident bayern fan for some info? ha. 

Probably suffers from the same problem he did at Benfica which is terrible passing. 

He's a good player but I would rather give one of our own youths a chance. 

He has great potential. And have good game against us in the frendly. I would take him any day. He was great at Portugal and at that age, he will improve a lot.

Carlo is not the best trainer for young guns.
I`m all for this transfer, even if it worth 40m.

Bayern have at least 6 midfielders for 3 positions, with Rodriguez in the team Sanchez will be pretty angry i guess. Bit of a kick in the teeth for him.

Their midfield has too many young talents atm. James, Tolisso, Thiago all at a good age that they can't really give him a 1st team option plus they can always get stars from other BL teams. I can see why they're open to selling him

Did you see the Bayern game against Inter? His passing is first class, as good as Fabrgas on that showing. His failing is not working hard enough off the ball.

This probably won't happen, .....but if it does I'll be pleased with my analysis skills as I picked him out as a target without any rumor or reason other than good player not playing much.

A loan with Buy option would make sense for both teams or take the risk and pay the 40m if we get close to that for Matic
