Under those circumstances you could have the best negotiating team or the worse, end results the same.
June 15, 20179 yr Not sure why we pass up on good players in positions we need that are going for decent money (35 million) which amazingly is a bundesliga record! Yet we want to spank 80 mil on Lukaku when we could have bought Aubameyang or kept Costa, we missed out on Douglas Costa to Bayern too when we needed a RW and landed caudw**ko who turned out to be made of pipe cleaners. How the f can they establish a team like that with 35 mil bring their most expensive player? Edited June 15, 20179 yr by DonAntonio
June 15, 20179 yr Author I haven't watched him play a full game even so can't comment on hia strengths or weaknesses. However, is he really better than what we have in our youth system already? It bothers me we wanna pay out for a young lad with potential when we already have those in our own youth system, which also happenes to be the best in the country. There must be serious lack of faith in our youth if we feel the need to buy a cm who 6 months ago was on very few people's tongues. The last youngster bayern bought was also supposedly a top talent and yet failed miserably there. Edited June 15, 20179 yr by enigma

There's a huge gap in quality between the youth level and first team, and it's everywhere, not just at CFC. I realize the desire to see more homegrown players in the squad, but I haven't seen anything from Chalobah, RLC or Aina to suggest that they're ready to displase any of the senior players in a starting lineup. A successful loan where they can play regularly is the only way for them to improve and advance their careers, whether at Chelsea or someplace else. Edited June 15, 20179 yr by abramovich

Outside of Tammy and Christensen I highly doubt any of them will ever become a first team regular. Decent squad fillers but that's about it.

June 15, 20179 yr Bayern interest to the player come late. If we was action fast, like Man City or Ac Milan work their business, we may have caught him. Before this happen .... Edited June 15, 20179 yr by brakeit
June 15, 20179 yr Hopefully our intent to sign Tolisso will spur Baker on. The message to Baker is clear, the club rated Tolisso higher than you - go and prove us wrong. Edited June 15, 20179 yr by the special one

To realize that, you merely need to stop surfing football forums and shut of your twitter feed. Or adopt my approach - expect last minute Djilobdojis and Hectors to be signed and you keep your sanity.

He preferred Bayern so we basically had no chance Lukaku is a top class striker who has the potential to be world class while Costa quite clearly doesn't want to be here anymore Cuadrado is sh*t, your right but we didn't miss out on Douglas Costa. He's quite average. Give me Pedro or Willian over him any day They were able to establish a team like that because they had extremely talented players come through their youth system and are able to dominate the German market by sweeping the best talent in Germany. Lewandowski and Hummels for free is testament to that. Not to mention they are one of the biggest and best clubs in football so players will always want to join them Seriously, no doubt Tolisso is a very talented player but people are going on like we've completely messed up the signing of the 2nd coming of Messi. Get a grip

I've been to Munich in my experience it's quant but boring as you like, if I was in 150k a week I know where I would prefer, not sure why anyone would pick that over London, also our league is night and day to theirs you would assume a player would want some excitement in their career, unless he thinks they have a better shot at the CL I can't understand why anyone would prefer them to us.

Apart from the CL but, perhaps he sees a guaranteed starting spot slotting in as a direct replacement for Xabi Alonso. If we'd signed him, we'd have likely signed Bakayoko as well. He'd be on the bench a fair bit and have 35-40 total appearances all season with maybe 20% of them being sub appearances. I can see the reasoning behind his decision. Bayern might want to offload Renato Sanches now though, whom I wouldn't mind us going after.

I mean they have much better CM's than us Martinez, Thiago, Vidal, Sanches, who would he have to put out of our team Matic? Who we are trying to sell anyway it seems. Bakayoko would be his only competition if we ended up signing him, he wouldn't know that, looking from the information he would have we have less competition

Playing in front of 75 000 every week, guaranteed silwerware, legit shot at the CL every year. I can definitely see it

Most likely the main reason why. The CL is the holy grail of trophies and for the past several years, only 3 teams have really stood out and dominated the competition and thats Bayern, Barca and Real aka the big 3. So its understandable why players would want to go to one of those 3 teams over anywhere else

When they are quoted stupid fees they pass. - Top players in Germany are prepared to run down their contracts in order to get a move to Bayern. None, or little, of this "I couldn't go to another team in the same league" stuff.
