Win our last four league games and were in the CL, no matter what Liverpool do against Brighton.

Nope, Liverpool would be tied 75 with us and they have a far better goal difference.

If they win we would both have 75 points losing out on GD though, they have to draw at least against Brighton

Are you sure?

Win our last four and we get to 75. Liverpool can also get to 75 if they beat Brighton, and their GD is currently 18 better than ours.

We'd need to batter Swansea, Huddersfield and Newcastle as well as beat Liverpool comprehensively then maybe, just maybe.

And sadly I can’t see us winning all 4 games. I think it’s gone

Swansea 0 Chelsea 4 (+29)

Chelsea 4 Liverpool 0 (+33 +39)

Chelsea 5 Huddersfield 0 (+38)

Final day:

Newcastle 0 Chelsea 3 (+42)

Liverpool 2 Brighton 0 (+41)

Yes, certainly we shoukl be optimistic. The only thing that might put the kybosh on that is LFC winning the CL and nicking our CL spot, but otherwise things are very much in our own hands.

Pool only need a win out of the last two games UNLESS we batter swansea tonight and huddersfield town AND newcastle. I don't see us battering pool at all at the bridge. Winning? Definitely possible of course. But by 4 goals? Lol! But who knows hehe !! Now we must win and fight for our spot tonight again swansea. Big UCL game indeed haha!!! Win tonight, we're within 2 points of tottenham before they play monday ... talk about pressure haha ! If we could overtake f**** dippers and they lose wednesday 3-0 against Roma ... :rainbowdance:

We could maybe chase Spurs GD if we win big today and vs Huddersfield.

I'm an atheist... but I still find myself praying to some higher power that you guys win your remaining four games and that Brighton manages to nick a point of the bin dippers. What an awesome gift that would be :D

Palace 5-0 up against Leicester. Up to 11th and 6 clear of the drop as it stands. Have to give credit to Hodgson for the job he's done.

West Brom winning again keeps them up for now. 2 points from Swansea in their 4 games relegates them. Should have given Pardiola the boot sooner (or not hired him in the first place).

With Southampton and West Brom winning, Huddersfield and (hopefully) Swansea losing. This could potentially lead to a huge relegation dogfight on the final day. 6 points separates 11th from 18th with 2-4 games left.

And give West Brom huge motivation to beat tottenham next game so that we can take 3 more points from them and be within 2 points :) !!

That WHU game. If only we had not dropped those 2 points.

We should have beat Spurs, that was the defining moment. It proved we had no balls, the fashion we got beat was disgraceful, we let them come here with all the pressure and play us off the park.

That for me alone warrants our situation.

Fair enough, but we were in a poor moment. We played well against barca, half a brilliant game against united and had nothing to show for it all.

We did go to spurs' "home" and beat them. Honestly, I did not expect a win against spurs but yes, did not expect to be played off the way we were in the 2nd half.

But even after that, we could have got top4 or atleast challenged much better, if we had won the game against WHU. The manner of that draw was so tame. Same mistakes. Really hurts.

Point is I am not surprised with pool dropping points. It was expected and thats what happens with CL. We should have kept the pressure on them

We could pip Pool to 4th and they could the in the CL and we’d still get CL football. If those two things happen but Arsenal win the EL we would drop to the EL. England are allowed a maximum of 5 places in Europe.
