I thought this Sqwawka comparison was interesting :

A small sample size for him granted, but Bats comes out on top in almost all the categories that really matter for a centre forward. If he could scale that then perhaps we already have the answer to our striking "dilemma" and he just needs a bit of faith ?

Most of his minutes were in the cups against lower teams though to be fair.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us make a play for Dembele from Celtic with him being homegrown. Get Llorente to as experienced back up. The others now on offer appear to have to many ifs and maybe's about them and we desperately need strikers and homegrown players.

You have to ask yourself why Aubameyabg is being hawked around right now. 2 years ago you wouldn't have got him for any offer and now Dortmund are seemingly happy to let him go... What's changed?

Probably he's disillusioned that no matter how many goals you score, Bayern always wins

I thought Dembele was going to Dortmund, may explain why they are trying to get rid of Aub.

I think he wants out. Dortmund would never sell if he wanted to stay.

Seems like our most realistic option.

His age

The concern should be if no top quality striker is signed and a Llorente or Benteke are the new additions, will Conte stay? That contract extension is still not signed and he's well justified in not signing it.

Random reports of a bid for Higuain.

Silly season indeed

CHELSEA have seen an £87.5million bid for Gonzalo Higuain rejected by Juventus, according to reports in Italy.

If that is true, then thank goodness it was rejected. He's not good enough.

I personally think that Batshuayi is better choice than some of our targets.

If we have bid that much for Higuain why the hell aren't we doing the same for Morata or Belotti?! Must be bullsh*te.

Don't want someone that couldn't bother to get in shape. Plus he's a serial choker, always fail in finals.

He's about two stone overweight.

Never seen the big deal about him, he's not lived up to the billing since moving to Jude.

There's no way we'd offer €100m on a 29 overweight has been...let's face it this board ain't gonna spank any large dough on a striker...so let's grab Dembele from Celtic and Llorente from Swansea and get going...

An SPL player..,really.

Scott Sinclair has better stats in the league and was their best player last season, we going to get him?

We need a top striker not some gambles from a tin pot league

Think you're being too negative on the guy...did really well in the CL scoring against Barcelona and City...think he'll do well for us and is a reasonable price around £25m...
