We've been playing a guy who has been out injured for the last two years with serious injuries. We have no idea if he's up to DD's level.

So Drinkwater is coming, then.

Leicester have said no new bids for Drinkwater.

Matt Law just tweeted that there has been a 3rd bid of £30m but Leicester need to find a replacement first. Guessing that is why this move has stalled so far.

Supposedly everything is just waiting on Leceister signing a replacement. So if they sign a CM in the next few hours, it'll go through.

Bakayoko replaced Matic, not Drinkwater. He will be (a very good) 4th choice CM. something Matic and Chalobah refused to be, hence why they have left the Premier League Champions.

Exactly, people never seem to understand this part.  We are looking for a Chalobah replacement, not a Magic replacement.

This is stupid. It's too late to haggle on price. I'd understand it if it was beginning of August, but it's deadline day.
