Quite excited to see him tbh. Wasn't that excited by the signing but with Kante out and Fabregas so weak defensively it should be helpful.

I wouldn't worry, if we beat Roma and Watford he will be gone again until the next defeat.

Always any news for his come back ? Because there, it's very serious, how our middle is eaten against the other teams. 

Why did we even sign him? Did we just decide in the summer we were going to sign a bunch of players who'd be coming in to the season injured? Drinkerwater, Bakayoko... it's ridiculous and now we're beyond short if the rumours ahout Luiz & Baka are true.

to be fair, bakayoko had been playing regularly for monaco when we signed him and drinkwater was injured, but i don't think we expected his injury to be such a long term one. you can't always predict these things.

It's all Emenalo's fault. He went in two footed on Danny Drinkwater when they were signing the contract to deliberately sabotage our season. Is that not obvious?

No Drinkwater was available for his first game against Leicester, but he didn't play, after that he has had injured

Who exactly was better then Cahill to be a captain at that time? And Cahill is not the problem. Against Roma Christensen was taken apart.

Both Christensen and Rudiger have quality, but they will be integrated to the squad smoothly, as it should be.

And yes it`s Emanalo and Marina fault, that we are so f***** this season.

Being a chelsea manager is actually great. Every trophy is all your doing despite the board and every defeat, injury, poor tactical decisions is because of the board. You also get to pocket millions when sacked and pick another top club.

Anyone else actually excited to see Drinkwater play?
It's going to be really interesting what he has to offer, with Bakayoko inconsistent at times and Fabregas not defensive enough, if he can put in a few good performances, we could see a Kante Drinkwater partnership again.

I'm excited for him. He can come on to close out a match. If our midfield was healthy, we could have actual squad rotation and give Conte tactical options. Based on RLC's progression I wouldn't mind having him in the squad, if we don't buy a world class midfielder, which isn't likely.

Drinkwater was been champions with Leicester remember you... of more tonight he was well for his first game !

 I thought he played well, looked impressive and comfortable whenever he was on the ball. Don't forget this was an Everton's A team against our B team. 

Lots of rumours circulating at the time when Conte first came to Chelsea he wanted Drinkwater & Kante, but he knew that he could only get one them as Leicester would never sell both in the same window just after a title win. So he went for Kante instead given that we badly needed a DM at the time. I would be surprised if he doesn't play much under Conte. 

I think that we won't see Fabregas in the next big games ! A game and we already have more control of game.

So would I. Except Chalobah didnt want to stay so that wasn't an option. 

 

Think Drinkwater will prove to be a great signing though. 

Definitely grew into the game. Looked very good just before he went off.
